The difference is CJ is able to release the ball quickly and therefore make the plays that weren't made in years past, thus allowing for the deep ball calls...love seeing t. Smith get some targets...run offense even worked well in 2 nd half, but we should have picked up a couple of those 3rd and shorts...perhaps line play, which will improve.
Defense looked very good at times especially against the run, but pass D was tested by a talented and respected WR and qb was occasionally dead on...hurt to give up that last long drive.
Certainly seeing character being built into this team, as well as an internal solidarity amongst them (swarm et al). Kick was great, but a blocked punt was horrendous... Was there even an o-line in place? Clock mgmt was a B- , which is saying something vs years worth of D'sand f's.
The schedule is in our favor to have a good record, but there are questions still to be answered if the team will grow and mature enough to be able to back up their record against top caliber teams.
We certainly have Pitts # for late game heroics...Time will tell, but this game will certainly boisture our season!
