i actually listened to him for a while on a sota radio station coming back from a weekend with the in-laws up north. I thought he sounded like a hs coach...wasn't impressed

Two things: First, Jerry Kill IS a winner, and will make MN a winner if his health permits. He lead SIU from the absolute bottom, and did a similar thing at NIU. I love the guy. Perhaps he's not ready for prime time, but who the heck cares. He gets through to his players, and he knows how to coach. Second, there was this guy named Fry a while back who came to Iowa from Texas with a long southern drawl and homespun manner and....

But his full quote on the seizures was "heck, I've had 20 of 'em just in the last 6 damn days..." which is legitimately concerning if you're a player or his employer.
