Texas: Dumbest team in the country

While it was frustrating that Texas did not smash the clowns I still believe that the clowns will have a very early exit in the NCAA tournament. They are overrated and I look forward to reading about their loss.

ISU is always on the good end of these things. Iowa is always on the bad end. Texas implodes in the second half. Penn State explodes in the second half. ISU actually makes shots. Iowa doesn't. I can't recall the last time we won a game at the buzzer. I'm pretty sure I've seen ISU do it at least 5 or 6 times under Fred.
LOL!
Post this phrase at CF and see what happens.

What's great about A. White, he's good with just knowing they're "one of the best teams in the country" without actually needing to deliver. Takes a lot of pressure off.

Agreed. They play the game with so much more intensity than Iowa. Hawks seem like they are calculating the odds in their heads before they make any moves.

How has Aaron White not delivered? He had 21 points and 13 rebounds yesterday, not to mention averaging close to that during the 6 game streak.

lol.... Iowa fans are the only ones that think this.. ISU has all the qualities that would make a rational person think they won't be an early exit. Great point guard, good shooters, can score in the paint, have a unique playing style and they have a defense that can get stops when they need it (I get that they have had their bad moments on defense but when they have needed a stop they have gotten it.)

Do you honestly think that there isn't a team in the country that will be able to close out a 10 point lead with 3 minutes left against the clones? The clones have skated by to end this season. Definitely not playing their best basketball right now.

Were I a Cyclone fan (thank you God), this would be my concern. You can't come to play 10 minutes/game against upper echelon teams. My mentality is kind of sick when it comes to ISU, though. It'd be neat to see them go on a run, but would enjoy seeing them get crushed. So, either way, I'm good.

It's the inconsistent play that leads me to believe that they will be a trendy pick to either go the Final Four or lose in the first weekend. No Cyclone fan would argue that.

My honest opinion is that ISU played yesterday like their goal was to win the conference tourney. Iowa played like they were simply there and didn't care what happened as they were already playing next week.

Oklahoma misses a stone cold free bunny to go to overtime.

Iowa State is very good with multiple very very good players...but they have received some fortune in a number of games this year.

They shot almost 55%....

Well, in the second half they did. In the first half it was like they didn't even want to break a sweat.

Not exactly at the buzzer, as in the shot in the air, but how about Uthoff making a shot with 8.7 left in the game at the shot clock buzzer and we beat Minnesota by 2 in their house? We came from behind in the last 2 minutes to win that one.

Yep, totally agree. But right now, with this team, i'd settle for an elite eight ;) haha... ok, i just really want to make it out of the first weekend, then we'll see how i feel.

Yeah, they are living on the edge...could have lost any of their last 4. The best thing for ISU is to fall behind in the 1st half today; make their 2nd half run to take the lead; and lose by 10 to Kansas IMO. If they get away with another escape I think they will be in trouble next Saturday/Sunday.

I think they will be OK despite not losing to KU. But it will bite them eventually. Conference teams know each other very well, I'm not sure the lower seeds will be able to cope with the ISU attack not having seen it before.

They sure did a good job of baring down and getting that stop against Oklahoma. Pretty impressive the way they forced that guy to miss a wide open layup. And the way they goated the guy from Texas to force up a deep 3 with 8 seconds left....pure genius.

Actually there was only 2.some seconds left. Not quite enough time to go coast to coast. Marble hit a late shot to tie the game against Tennessee. That was the first time iowa made a late shot to tie or take the lead since '08 i believe. Since then, Uthoff has done it twice. Minnesota and Northwestern. So we have made 3 meaningful late shots in 7 years and we lost 2 of those games anyway.
