Texas: Dumbest team in the country

Idiot takes a shot with 8 seconds left on the clock. Leaves isu with plenty of time to come down the floor and score to win with their only lead of the game.

Then, the Cyclones go Bryce Drew at the end of the game...for winning a Big 12 quarterfinal game.
It's like Iowa storming the court for beating Stony Brook in the NIT.

haha, I was going to post the same thing. There was so many dumb plays in that last 3 minutes

Texas had a timeout in their pocket to set up another play after that offensive rebound.

I don't know what's bigger, the state of Texas or their collapse at the end of that game.

Also basically playing 4 corners offense with 3 minutes left. They had a fast break 3 on 2 and held it back. No FG in the last almost 8 minutes. I think I saw Kurt whispering in Barnes' ear at the end there

Yeah, they were smarter against Iowa. Of course Texas won by 14 and didn't to wait til last second. I wouldn't be so quick to call them the dumbest, only makes us look dumber.

Honestly with about 3 minutes to go, I was thinking of the Iowa State-Hampton game.
ISU in that game with 4 corners offense, and Texas, in this game, went 4 corners offense.
Same result.

That was the epitome of playing scared/not to lose most of the second half. Pathetic meltdown and kudos to ISU and their fans. (Gagging sound effect)

I hope the Hawkeyes were watching that game and saw how ISU played. That is the kind of effort it takes to win in a tourney.

Agreed. They play the game with so much more intensity than Iowa. Hawks seem like they are calculating the odds in their heads before they make any moves.

And even though a couple of fella's here would disagree, Monte Morris is one of the best guards in the country.

So is the story that Iowa passed on him even though he was good friends with Marble, because Fran thought Iowa was set at point guard?

Haven't heard that one. Do tell..............

ISU is always on the good end of these things. Iowa is always on the bad end. Texas implodes in the second half. Penn State explodes in the second half. ISU actually makes shots. Iowa doesn't. I can't recall the last time we won a game at the buzzer. I'm pretty sure I've seen ISU do it at least 5 or 6 times under Fred.

Iowa State knows they can win and plays hard and with confidence.
Iowa hopes they can and needs a good start to change hope to thinking, maybe even, knowing they can win.
