Terrelle Pryor facing significant inquiry

Ohio State is playing under a different set of rules than the other schools in the Big Ten. Are some of these posts really stupid enough to believe that they would have been just as good without Pryor? Did you watch the plays he made against Iowa last fall or in 2009? Are you really that dumb? Ohio State cheated the whole conference, and particularly Iowa, the past 2 years. I don't expect them to award Iowa any wins or trophies, but they ABSOLUTELY MUST VACATE THE BIG TEN TITLES AND ALL VICTORIES during the Pryor years. What other penalty can you issue other than that one?

I predicted that this was the end of Tressel in prior posts and many people scoffed.

Now, another prediction: Ohio State will be banned from bowl games for a significant period of time, lose significant scholarships, and the Big Ten also will lay down penalties. This is going to get worse for them.

Iowa fans should be ****** about it.... No school in the Big Ten is cheating at this level.... no one

I don't think it's surprising to many people (other than OSU fans) that this finished off Tressel. Not sure that 'many' people scoffed.

You're not really going out on a limb with your latest prediction either. Any other bold predictions from you? From which direction will the sun rise tomorrow?

I predict death penalty. One of us will be right and one of us will be wrong. I'm pretty sure you are not on the NCAA investigations committee, so your information isn't any better than mine.

I also predict that Gordon Gee and Gene Smith are done at Ohio State.

If they don't get the death penalty, they sure as heck deserve it. This is a program that has been cheating at unprecedented levels (by Big Ten standards) for a long time. If they don't get it, no one will ever get the death penalty again.

You almost sound like an Ohio State apologist. I don't get it. Are you saying that they don't deserve significant penalties from the NCAA? Remember, the hearing is in August... the NCAA has yet to issue their final rulings regarding Ohio State.

What should the appropriate penalty be? Should Smith and Gee be fired?

You have to be pretty naive to think that each of those men has not been a big part of this cover up.

I'll certainly give you the last word.

I will respectfully make one final point: Several people on this board said that the NCAA would "sweep this one under the rug" and that there would not be significant penalties assessed against Ohio State.

My point is that those people are going to be wrong. I truly believe that Ohio State will suffer some of the toughest penalties in NCAA history. They are a repeat offender. Death Penalty? I agree with you, probably not, since there is not a lot of history for that.

Serious penalties, including loss of Big Ten titles, bowl eligibility, scholarships, a ban against Tressel coaching at another school? Absolutely.

I readily admit that I am no expert on NCAA enforcement, but if the NCAA is ever going to make a school an example for the future, it is going to be this one. Remember, this comes on top of the serious allegations against Cam Newton at Auburn and Reggie Bush at USC. The NCAA is getting worn out by these repeat offenders.

They deserve it. I predict it. What are my odds of being right on this one? Probably not good. But if a school deserves it, this one does. A lot of people didn't think Tressel was in trouble. They were wrong on that one, weren't they?

Doesn't it make you angry to think that Pryor played in those games against Iowa the past two years? Doesn't Ohio State deserve unprecedented penalties? Does Ohio State defeat Iowa last year without Pryor? Think about it.

Iowa can't compete against schools who cheat at this level. It isn't fair and it isn't right. Am I upset about it? You are darn right I'm upset.

Doesn't it bother you as an Iowa fan? It certainly bothers me to see cheating at this level in our conference.

You make a prediction: What will the NCAA penalties be?

Again...not things that I'm saying. I'm saying that they won't get the death penalty.

Before Pryor's college career even began, his car situation was huge news

You are evading my question.

It is a fair one, I think.

You obviously have opinions. What will the NCAA penalties be against Ohio State? You post a lot, which is fine with me. I want your opinion. Why won't you give it?

Mr. Miller, since you are on board, what do you think the appropriate NCAA penalty or penalties should be for Ohio State? I think they deserve the death penalty.

Mr. DwayneTwill thinks I'm crazy. He isn't the first person to say that, frankly.

Mr. Miller or Mr. Twill, what say you?

The NCAA will never penalize another program as harsh as they did SMU. I may be mistaken but I think they even recognized that was too harsh of a penalty

I predict that they won't give OSU the death penalty.
Brilliant analysis, sir.

I did notice that Jon Miller mentioned the words death penalty in his long article on this subject, recently posted.

My question remains the same: What will the NCAA penalties be? It has direct ramifications for Iowa, to be sure.

That picture is so silly I can't believe people still post it. It was obviously his prom ride. I have a pic of what he drove to the WHAC tonight and it doesn't help his cause....lol

Pryor is the second coming of Clarett, plain and simple. "Getting caught" isn't even the issue here, it is a lack of integrity and a culture that is willing to risk all to "win at all costs". The vest played fast and loose with the rules, tried to "dummy up" and got burned. Let's call a spasde a spade here, eh folks. No candy coated B.S. I for one am glad to see Tosu getting their cumuppence albeit too late IMHO. They can have their tainted "championships". I hope they get nailed!
