i found most of the fouls on McCabe strange blocking and Illegal screens
it took the player that was playing the best out of the game
as for the blocking fouls it is just not this game to many blocking calls on players outside that line
Hightower is a joke, he was clearly out of position on that call,
is he the lead offical and can just overturn another officials call?
While each crew has a designated umpire there is nothing in the book called an overturn. If two officials have something different they should get together and "together" figure out what they have. If one has a travel and one has a foul they get together and try to figure out what came first, whose whistle came first. The "help" official should almost always defer to the guy who has "primary coverage" in that area.
If an official has information that he feels is applicable he SHOULD go to the other official and say, "hey, I saw this on that play". It's then up to the original official to either defer or stick to his call.
A perfect example of that working well was the disupted travel/foul call against Bryce Cartwright and the guy he was defending last year. It didn't go our way but the two officials worked very well together and in the end they got the call right which is always the most important thing.
