Template for handling Iowa's BB team

What we saw tonight is the template for handling Iowa's BB team.

#1--limit fast break points, #2--limit/win points off turnovers, and #3--control Devyn Marble.

Michigan did this to a "T" tonight....4 fast break points for Iowa, +7 in turnover points, and while he got #13 points, Marble had the clamps put on him all night.


Not many teams have the personnel to do this to Iowa. Mich does and did.

The difference in the Mich game was in the first 10-15 minutes Mich was not shooting as well. Iowas was getting rebounds and transisition points.

Iowa does really well holding teams to around 35% shooting, getting boards, and transition for points.

When Mich started shooting better the last 25-30 minutes it really limited Iowa's transition.

Part of the reason they were scoring and we couldn't get in transition were all of the offensive rebounds we allowed in the 1st half. That just can't happen.

Have better players that hustle, are athletic and get back in transition...reminded me of the Villanova game.
