It was a great ISU win today against a very good team. Both conferences are good. Who cares at this point in time which one is better. ISU and Fred's approach is working fine. Fran and Iowa's approach will work fine as well. The Iowa program had fallen a lot farther than most of us want to admit. I was in Hilton today and Carver has a long way to go to reach that passion and excitement. Fran can get us there but it's not coming over night, and creating a atmosphere like Hilton isn't going to happen real fast either.

Iowa also plays in a much, much tougher conference and it won't get any easier after this year.
It is funny how Nebraska went from a Big 12 bubble team to an afterthought moving to the BIG this year.

The Big Ten is a tougher conference than the Big 12 this year, but it's not by a whole lot. When you add in the fact that Iowa plays four of the best teams only once and the middle/bottom teams twice, one could argue ISU's conference schedule is as difficult if not more so than Iowa's, however.

Hopefully both Iowa and Iowa State will do well and play in the post season. I don't see how you can say that one conference is tougher than the other this season....
