Why aren't some of these guys adored by the Christian masses for doing things the right way? The only answer I can come up with is that these particular players aren't pushing the Christian agenda like Tebow is. So Tebow gets put on this moral pedestal which I'm not sure he deserves. I mean, I'm sure he's a heck of a good guy. But in what way is he better than the other guys I've mentioned?

But this thread wasn't started to talk about how awesome he is. In fact, I don't think anybody here has even called himself a fan of Tebow. I just don't understand why people hate him so much.

The fact that the original poster went on to declare his love for an obvious miscreant in Cam Newton made the argument that much harder to ignore.

This is a good observation. Timmy makes sure to strike a prayerful pose while the cameras are rolling even though the guy that Christianity is named for said something about not praying on the street corner for all to see.

So Timmy's actions would in fact be un Christian. So easy to talk the talk but not so easy to walk the walk.

In a similar vein he once went to a Florida basketball game with his arm in a sling. Once he was sure all eyes, and cameras, were on him he took the sling off and laughed. No attention whore, no, not Timmy.

On the day his group of college seniors were about to take the Wunderlic, he tried to lead a group prayer, someone in the room told him to shut the F up. The picture of the Detroit Lion tebowing while Timmy lies sacked on the field reminds me of that.
