Why do people insist on making comments like this. Are you a Hawk fan or not?? By your account Iowa basketball will never be good again because no one will ever agree to play for them because they have been down the past few years. If that all teams that aren't North Carolina, Kansas, Duke, MSU, Uconn, etc..... should just drop bball right now. It wasn't that long ago that Iowa was a better bball school than football.

These people will claim they are Hawk fans, but I question that as well. They are fans when Iowa is good and has nothing positive to say when they are not. The Northwestern State loss did more to the fanbase than you or I will ever know. Then the last four years haven't done anything to make it any better.
Iowa will never be a program that consistently gets the top players in the country, but will return to a program that keeps the good kids at home and if they don't ISU will. Those days will return and all the banwagoners can come back.
 
HawkI101...why do you have anything to do with the Hawkeyes in your name? You dont deserve to brand anything having to do with the Hawkeyes when you say *&^% like that. Please be a true Hawkfan or change your name. True means that you bleed black and gold through the tough times and the bad. You look for the optimistic points and get behind your team even when their down.

Roy Williams continues to plunder the state of Iowa.. I know, Paige hasn't gone to UNC yet, but still. Argh.. P!$$ off, Roy!!!
 
I know paige hasnt decided yet but lets face it, hes not going to iowa. It sucks but we are rebuilding and NC is a top 5 school. Plus he goes to Linn Mar and for some reason all of them leave for somewhere else. Look at the bohannons and gibbs
 
Somebody's gonna break the trend eventually, right? I'm not saying it's going to be Paige but somewhere along the line of all this talent Linn-Mar is putting out somebody's gotta be a big enough Iowa fan to want to play here. Hopefully...

Zach Bohannon was the best shot Iowa had and didn't offer, I believe this was the right move though. MAYBE Josh Montague would be a good one, thats probably the best bet right now.

He's a senior, and yes while he is lacking in the skills department, he is an excellent athlete that, with time to develop, could turn into a nice big-man. I'd like him as a walk-on and red-shirt him. Something similar to what Fran is doing with Darius right now.
