Take it easy, Hawkeye fans.

I've bought four season tickets for the past 16 years, way back when they were terrible, I am done, out. I will not buy another season ticket until Ferentz is gone.

Not upset, thought they'd lose today. Ferentz is just unbelievably stubborn. But I have known for years that he just doesn't have the ability to be a winner here anymore. He can't recruit, and without Norm Parker he can't win.

This times 4 million!

So let me get this straight, I simply make a comment about not getting all upset and banned and people get mad about it?

Next time I'm grabbing the pitchforks and starting the riot.

Mad? Why would you get mad over a team in which you have no real connection with other than watching them play? Is it disappointing to see Iowa continue to do poorly? Yes. It's nothing to get mad about though. If it is, then maybe you need to get a hobby.

For some, Iowa Football / Iowa Sports IS their hobby.

Living in KC, there's people that go to Chiefs games that eat, sleep and breathe that team. They spend their recreational dollars on season tickets and everything for tailgating.

Would I do this? No. But some do, and who am I to judge?

Then we'd all just log out and go take a nap

Have a level head for today and try to enjoy something other than football. Don't go getting yourselves banned.

All in all it's a game and if you get too wrapped up in it, it takes away all of the fun.

Sparky, I was laughing, looking at your THE TRUTH thread where you took a brutal beating with a world record thumbs down count. LMAO!

If people could throw food you'd be covered. Timing is everything.

Season tickets have been in our family since the 1970's. I love the hawks, but the "worth it" factor is changing. Times are different. Families are busy. Season tickets (and even the rights to have them) are expensive. I have to travel from Wisconsin to see them.

Well, when you add the "Aqua Velva" factor, it changes things to "maybe not worth it", at least for me. I'm watching the last few games with this in mind. If they continue to play like this, I'll have more money and free time next fall.

That was a different day and I was in a different mood. Now I'm tired and cranky.

I know what you meant with your original post and I agree. No need to let it ruin your weekend...Couldn't help myself though, seemed teed up for a laffy.
