You're still thinking CoTY, right? Spank, I like your enthusiasm; I really do. However, this last 3 weeks when a team is to get better we've gotten worse, much worse. Lick is in way, way over his head. I don't understand why we postpone the inevitable.

What we're doing is asking him to play Wiscy or Mich. State B'ball. That would be fine except for the fact those two teams have been playing it longer and they're only so many players that want to play it. Besides, those two coaches have proven success.

To keep doing the same thing expecting a different result from the same coach is insane.

I live in Madison and although I had my chance to go to the UW/Iowa game, I chose to stay at home and do a few positive things.

At any rate, my work friends, who are long-time Badger basketball fans, said that Iowa was the worst b10 team they'd ever seen. I think that about says it all.

I really want, or wanted, Lick to succeed. Who the hell knows, maybe he still will. However, this is just awful. Minnesota looks like the best team on earth right now. I've stayed away from the bball board because it seemed pretty fruitless to vent. Well, grant me this one venting session. They are just horrible.

I grew up going to both bball and fball games. I worked in CHA when I was in college. I love the hawks. This is ugleeeee.

The players didn't even want to play this game and Lickliter didn't want to be there, espcially because it was Senior Day at Minnesota...Lick dreads Senior Days.

I think he should call in sick for the Big 10 tournament and the team just forfeit. It would be easier for everyone concerned. Lickliter wouldn't have to coach the team, Barta wouldn't have to watch it, the Iowa fans wouldn't have to watch it, and the players could just call it a season and stay home. Lickliter wouldn't have to have a press conference and make up excuses explaining why we got blown out....

And to think, Lickliter only uses one D, coaches that same one all the time, and yet they arent getting any better. What would happen if he coached them with a couple of zone variations, would they get "confused"? Could they get worse? They lack of adjustments is maddening, and its revealing. Most coaches will adjust to the talent they have, and if Lick was one of those, would we have had kids leave as we do? They see this lack of flexilbility, the lack of creativity, and right now, the losses from lack of coaching. Its sick.

Well he has them going to the Tourney again this season so he is doing something right. I assume that SDSU has pretty low standards as well which helps.
