Swarm, Exile Partnering on Custom Beer

Coors got gobbled up by Molson and let the unions in. A-B, well let's just say I ain't drinking it anymore. If they sold this stuff in SC and it tasted even remotely passable I would only drink this particular beer. This is a brilliant strategy. Sucks it ain't dropping until July. They would probably make a mint given the general happenings in the beer market right now. Kudos to them for not making it a 10% IPA or something where 3 of them before the game and you wind up getting a tour of the jail cell under the stadium.

Yes, this is brilliant and it is where NIL collectives need to go. Because the NILs are not directly affiliated with the schools, they can partner with booze and gambling and other sinful things in a way the schools can't.

It won't be long until The Swarm has a "Strip for the Hawks" night Woodys where 20% of the gate goes to the collective. :)

Just think if this was their specialty Microbrew beer in Kinnick on game days promoting that the % of proceeds go to the NIL support. People would choose that I think. Win Win.

Definitely, but that is a prime example of the tension between the school and the athletes. The school wants to grant a mega deal to Anheuser Busch so they can pocket a couple hundred grand for doing nothing. No microbrewery can ever match the on-premises spend that A-B can bring. But A-B ain't gonna stroke that check without ensuring they are gonna get a big piece of the concession pie. If you have 25,000 dudes who just want to buy the micro beer to support the athletes it will hurt the U on some level. So there are three constituencies at play, fans, athletes and the school. Your solution is definitely win-win for the fans and athletes, but it may not be a winner for the school.

Let me take this opportunity to remind everyone that Dolls, Inc., formerly Coralville's pre-eminent gentleman's club, was closed to make room for some harebrained botanical garden or some crap that never got built. We lost a gem. It was never replaced.

Sure, maybe some people would drive clear up to Woodys or the LumberYard or Dancer's Ranch or maybe even all the way over SoCo in Mount Joy, but the categorically unconstitutional zoning ordinances that prevent the growth of gentlemen's clubs in IC and Coralville would really impair the Swarm's ability to draw a crowd necessary to generate any significant revenue for the athletes. These politburos are literally taking food out of kids' mouths. Absolutely disgusting if you ask me.
