Stubhub No Longer Showing Fees Until Last Step Of Checkout

Just a heads-up for those here who might be buying football, basketball, or wrestling tickets on StubHub.

From the very beginning of the site you were able to search for tickets and see the price including fees. StubHub has taken that away now and you don't see the final price with fees until you click through 7 pages of their checkout screens.

Just for funsies I searched the cheapest Music Shitty Bowl ticket which was $20. No option to see prices with fees. I went all the way through the checkout and the amount that'd be charged to my card was $32. 60% added on top of the ticket "price." What makes it worse is that the first screen when you click on your prospective tickets says, "You will pay...$X.YZ" which does not include the fees at the end.

I've never noticed if the dollar amount changed when filter was chosen to the show ticket price plus fees. That's a shit deal if that's the case. What are they showing at the beginning and what are they adding at the end? It's BS.

Yep the dollar amount used to change. It was the first thing I did on the site when I'd look for tickets because I don't care about anything other than the full price out the door.

I just checked SeatGeek and the fees weren't showing up there on the initial screen either, just $17 for end zone seats in the corner.

This whole thread just turned me off from checking anymore or thinking about going. Just last night I mentioned it to the fam but F it.

I hate that kind of crap. Just state the f'ing price.

I decided along time ago not to buy or sell tickets on these scam ridden outlets.
It’s not a scam. They used to show fees on the front page but now it’s on the last page, but it’s not a scam. You know exactly how much your card is getting charged when you click the button.

How is it a scam?

If they are not totally Transparent, they lie by omission. I made a decision early on to embrace honesty and reserve the right to be intolerant of liars. If “scam” is the wrong word, fine.

Customers know exactly what they’re paying when they pay. There’s no scam.

StubHub is the only way some people can buy tickets and it’s the only way to sell tickets officially if you need to.

I use other sites, I been turned off by Stub Hub's fees for a while. There are a lot of ticket sites out there and many tell you the prices and fees upfront. Stub Hub's fees have become insane and they are sneaky.

To me it really doesn’t matter what the fees are, it’s just part of the price that you decide to pay out not.

If it’s a $30 ticket with $50 in fees it’s no different than a $50 ticket with $30 in fees. Comparing the end prices, there is very little difference between any of the sites in the end price.

What sites are you using that show you fees right up front?

sounds to me like once one understands and accepts the fact that there will be 30 on the back end, then one can move forward and buy the tickets without trepidation.
