Duffy went 5-2 last week. That brings my YTD to to 19-17. I was going to let my dog pick a few this week but I'm on a roll. I found a lof of NCAA games I liked this week and laid out quite a few, rarely to I bet more than 6 games so this is rare. Please don't read this for betting advice, I'm an idiot. But being an idiot is better than being a liar.
Pitt -1 ½ at Syracuse
Syracuse is 4-1 and Pitt is 2-3 yet they are a point and a half favorite on the road? Look a little deeper and you realize Syracuse hasn’t beaten anyone and their only quality opponent shelled them by 20. Pitt isn’t setting the world on fire but they have been in against much better competition.
Army +7 at Rutgers
Besides the “America **** yeah!” argument you also have the fact Army hasn’t been beaten by 7 points by anyone this year, and Rutgers hasn’t beaten anyone by 7 or more unless their name was Norfolk State.
Cal+3 at USC
Cal comes off a beat-down of UCLA and USC is a team in disarray with a new coach, on probation, and have lost their first two Pac10 games, make that first 3 Pac10 games. When you get the best team and get points you take it.
Nebraska-10 vs Texas
I can’t believe I’m giving double digits against TX, but Nebraska is scary good and could end playing for the NC this year. Texas has to be very careful or they will get completely embarrassed (see Nebraska v K State)
Iowa-3 ½ at scUM
Navy -1 ½ at SMU
The only thing I know about SMU is Hayden coached there, couple that with the fact that I love Seamen and this is a no-brainer.
South Carolina-5 at Kentucky
You already know I love Seamen, I suppose I can let it slip I’m also fond of the Cocks. This is going to be a trendy upset pick because people will be expecting this to be a let down game from the Cocks. The only problem is it’s a bigger let down game for the Wildcats. They are 0-3 in the SEC and are coming off a heartbreaking 4th quarter loss to Auburn a week after losing a close game to Mississippi. Couple all this with the fact UK is my wifes alma mater and it’s all Cocks baby.
Oklahoma+22 vs ISU
I normally run from big spreads, this game is different. I’m 3-0 betting on ISU games (1 to cover and 2 to not) and I’m about to be 4-0. They might not give up 68 again but I can easily see 38-9.

fOSU is rolling along and Wisky is a bigger fraud than Deace.
Ravens +3 Patriots
Another case of getting to take the best team while getting points. The loss of Moss hurts the Patriots here. They are going to struggle to stretch the field and very few teams can line up and slug it out with the Ravens up front and the Patriots aren’t one of them.

I look at it this way. I don't live in the Des Moines area, have never heard or seen Deace on tv/radio, so I view him as just a regular poster, not some personality of sort or enamored like some seem to be. If I or anyone else did a weekly pick 'em and put up the incorrect record, acknowledged it, then never changed it, I would expect me or that other poster to get some flack. I have an idea, Duffman will quit giving the man grief, when he actually mans up with his real record. Pretty simple. I must say, I'm with Duff on this one, as a gambler I get a bit irked with the dishonesty. Go ahead, give it to me now fellas, I EXPECT it after voicing my opinion on this subject, just as Deace should EXPECT it until he comes clean.

Yeah I'm with ya, just like Arizona & Max Hall last week vs the Saints(-7)..... wait, that's right- a huge amount of betting enthusiasts had egg on their faces for that disaster.
-10 is a lot to hold in a big rivalry, do you not think that their will also be some confusion with that sasqwatch in the backfield compared to what was there in the first 4 games? I'm calling for a close one here, (23-21) Steelers over (17-13) Browns. And that line may move to -11 or more, just watch.

I've indulged in a couple of adult beverages so my reading comprehension skills are lacking....so what you are saying is a home game that Arizona had where the defense did everything is comparable.....ummmm, well its not.
The saints defense ain't the steeler D, the game is at PNC, and the last time I checked Mr. McCoy is a rook. If McCoy had a done anything in training camp he would have been the starter...Unless cribbs go off on special teams, -10, -11, -14, whatever, Steelers cover.
Btw, sasquatch has lost 15 lbs. and has looked great in practice.

Max Hall is an undrafted ROOKIE free agent. McCoy FELL to the browns and may have been able to wait another round or two to get him, obviously no one was even nibbling at his bait through the first three rounds, while teams like the chiefs moved UP to get Moeaki..... that says something about your value there.
there is a comparison there, the browns defense is better than what the cover suggests.

actually the REAL art of Handicapping is when you make your initial bet for the steelers at (-10), then when the lines close on the High end you take the Browns (+14). That way you sweep BOTH bets if the Steelers win by 11, 12, or 13 - and win one bet if they if they win by 10 or 14. You only LOSE $10 (the juice/vigorish) if the steelers can manage to win by <14 or >9. now for those that did not follow that:
Steelers win by less than 9:
you lose your (-10) bet paying in $110
you win your (+14) bet getting back $100
net: -$10
Steelers win by 10 or 14:
you win one of your bets & push the other:
net: +$110 (getting back the juice from one of the bets & the payout from the other)
Steelers win by 11, 12, or 13:
You sweep both bets
net: +$200
Steelers win by more than 14:
you lose your (+14) bet paying in $110
you win your (-10) bet getting back $100
net: -$10
Moral of the story is you limit your chance of losing money, but have a tremendous upside almost guaranteeing a payout of some sort as long as the game is decide by 10-14 points in the steelers favor.
