I had us down for 8-5 with a loss to Northern Illinois. We looked far better in that game than I hoped. Bright days ahead.
We're gonna win some games.

Offense has potential but defense is abysmal and clearly doesn't have the talent. Secondary is among the worst in the country. Expect some BIG losses this year.

Purdue, Minnesota, Michigan State are all beatable. Nebraska didn't look that great. Not saying they are beatable by Iowa, but they didn't look all that good. The season isn't over.
It's true, the season isn't over.
Still lots of questionable decisions, irritation and disappointment left to go.
Six is still on the table if they win the next three non-con games. Basically the winner of the ISU game still has a bowl game possibility on the table. The lose will be staying home in December.
That is kind of the way I see it right now. I didn't get to see the ISU vs UNI game, but all my ISU friends are saying we are going to kill them. I looked at the box score, and was shocked to see that UNI averaged almost 7 YPC in the game.

The media tried to hide it but the numbers don't lie. ISU's front 7 on defense are very weak. Poor technical skills and bad tackling. Also apparently they lost their center who has been the starter for the last two seasons although no time table was given for his return other than a confirmation that he didn't tear an ACL. If Kirk wants retribution for losing in IC last year ISU basically has it gift wrapped for him. All he needs to do is pull the ribbon.
