Steve is rolling this morning (Jon and Steve talking Big Texas conference) ...........great radio. As usual Steve will bring an intelligent angle with an underlying of 'truth humor' comparisons that we are lucky to hear in Iowa. Steve would be dangerously fun on a national talk show.

It's been a phenomonal show this morning... Deace + prostituion analogies + Jon's dry wit = great show
 
I would love to see Deace debate with some of the talking heads from ESPN, especially that creepy Skip Bayless. This, of course, would be without ESPN telling him what platform he is going to stand on a topic or what to say. This is what usually happens with the ESPN casts.

With the marriange they have, I could see the two of them with a nationally syndicated talk radio (sports foundation) show. They bring points with humor & not just about Iowa sports, but many as well as non-sport topics. This is why I feel it could fly. They have broad topics.

The two of them work very well together. I'm not certain that it would succeed without one or the other.

I really like Deace. He and Jon bring entirely different elements to the show, which is what makes it work. I don't always agree with Steve but he always cites facts and logical thinking to back his opinions. I know he catches a bad rap on here at times and I think it's largely undeserved.

I can usually only catch 15-20 minutes of the show each morning in the car, so I will have to go back and listen to the podcast tonight. I'm looking forward to it tonight!!
 
I'd love to see Steve take the President of the University of Texas to task for his comments about the Big Ten yesterday. Of course its not possible but can you imagine Steve in the same room with him and asking direct questions during the press conference. It would be great television.

I enjoyed this one today. I'm kind of sad that all of the shows that are deemed "best of" and are replayed are ones I didn't care for.
 
He had me at "Oklahoma is a whore."

Someone had to say it, and he balled up and did it. And then went on to specify exactly what kind of whore they are.

It's too bad he's brainwashed by all of that "Christian" Right BS because he's pretty entertaining when talking sports.
 
We have a real gem on Iowa radio with these two.
I once enjoyed listening to Steve's 4-7 show on WHO but it seems to have grown into a purely political talk show since he started; much like Rush only with different packaging and delivery.

Actually, I think he is just concentrating real hard to try & remember the lines that ESPN wants him to say.

I agree. I got a free trial of XM for 3 months, and I can't find anything nearly as entertaining as these guys.
I know I will take some crap for this, but Matt and Miller have grown on me a little lately
