Status on Alaric Jackson?

Many guys can do that with a torn ACL even. Not saying that's what it was, but it's possible.
Brandon Snyder is an assistant baseball coach at West Lyon now, I talked to him between umping games and he said he knew he re-tore his ACL right away and still ran 40-50 yards that way.

How someone is after an injury isn't indicative. Had a catastrophic knee injury in soccer. The first 5 minutes were hell. Actually later I went back in the game and scored a goal (still hurt like hell. I knew my knee was bad but was in denial). Went for a walk afterward with the wife and it swelled like a balloon.

The damage:
Obliterated torn PCL
Torn MCL
Badly torn posterior lateral corner
Obliterated medial meniscus.

I thought it was much more serious than that. You once said your leg was facing the opposite direction. If this was the same incident I can't see how you would have continued in the game, let alone gone for a walk with your wife. Sounds like a lot of damage regardless.

You memory is good. I completely inverted it. I was kneeling backwards. I had no stability. I was running on adrenaline.

The surgeon is the team surgeon on a Big team. He ranked it #5 on what he's seen done to a knee.

The ball landed at my feet and I scored left footed and collapsed.

This dude did my 2nd surgery. He also did Derrick Rose's surgery. That's why I knew Rose was likely done. His specialty is meniscus transplant.

Basically I tore everything but the ACL.

My point is that you can't go by someone walking off of a field. I couldn't walk off, but I did go back in. I could feel the meniscus moving where it shouldn't be moving.

Today I have three screws going most of the width of the top part just below the knee and a metal plate. I couldn't walk w/o a brace prior to Cole's surgery and the only other option was a knee replacement.

Now this post makes sense. If Tiger Woods can win a US Open with a torn ACL an elite athlete could certainly run off the field with one. Of course his season is likely over if he did tear it. Next time your community has a 5k or 10k or half marathon go to the starting line where the elite runners are lined up. I will guarantee you at least 25% of them have injuries that would shelve an offensive lineman trying to play football.

Like everything else, we will have to wait for the MRI. And hope Kallenberger or Plumb are ready to go. I like Kallenberger, liked him last year when he filled in.

From now on, AJ's knee will be a target

This year, next year, probably every year he plays

Crazy! It would be harder to plant with a bad knee that attempt to kick with one.

I've heard of Dr. Cole however. Not to be confused with the late bass player for the Association.

I lost the replacement meniscus 3 years ago playing basketball. It lasted 13 years which bought me more time. I did stop running at that point. I honestly don't know how anyone can come back from knee injuries. It's hard to trust the integrity of the knee after that so there is the psych part of it. Once the knee is compromised it's never the same again.

For those of you with kids and sports, I'd never let anyone local surgeon mess with a knee. Go to someone at Cole's level first. The technology is changing so rapidly. They can do incredible things with damaged knees now.

Our injuries and suffering are worse the further removed we are from them.

Crazy. Isn't basically lateral movement that you can't do with a torn ACL?

Not sure. I’ve luckily never had any experience with it. When we were talking he said you can see his face on camera when he runs in and you can tell. I’d have to agree after watching it again.
