State's Head Football Coach "It's Going to be a Physical Game"

Lol that's funny. Those cream puffs have only played 1 team as physical as Iowa. They should probably get their fillings tightened.
Cream puffs? Easy. I'm not sure what you base that on, but you're wrong, and every single team they have played has more speed than anything we have seen this year. They have played much better teams than what we have seen in the mighty west division of our conference.

Bama, Florida, and Auburn I wold agree, but AreKansas and Old Piss naw. And that non con.....yikes

I'm sure it'll be a tough game. I'm not predicting anything crazy. I will say it won't be a blowout either way. Their QB seems pretty good and we'll have to keep him from having running lanes. We do that and put them in 3rd and longs and I like our chances of winning the field position battle.

Ya because being fast means they are tough. I know that it is hard to tune out the constant SEC noise about their superiority. You don't have to buy the hype though man. It is ok to have a mind of your own.

Just to play along. Here is Miss St's 2018 schedule.

Charleston Southern
Steven F Austin
Kansas St
Louisiana Lafayette
Kentucky
Florida
Auburn
LSU
Texas A&M
Louisiana Tech
Alabama
Arkansas
Ole Miss

Like I said 1 team that is as physical as Iowa. At the very most maybe we add in LSU. But they are not the same physical today as they once were under Les.

P.S. "Every single team they have played has more speed than anything we have seen this year"

LMAO. You win for most exaggerated statement of the year.

No way did he watch every single one of MSU's opponents enough to make a statement like that. I know I didn't. So I leave it to others to make the stupid statements.

Our defense is better equipped to handle speed better than even two or three years ago. And they're getting more experienced all the time. The only team that really exploited us with speed was Purdue.

News Flash. Iowa's lack of speed, as well as the speed across the BT in general, is a long gone myth. You don't have the kind of success on defense that Iowa had this year without speed. Receivers on the Hawk offense do not lack speed...they need work on technique, getting out of breaks, catching with your hands, not your body, running tight patterns, and gaining the QB's trust.

The Iowa coaches report that Easleys 40 yard dash time is around the 4.4 range . That’s faster than Fants time. No way in hell could Easley beat either of the two stud tight ends we had this year in a foot race . Just in case you forgot ,Easley starts at wide receiver . I’m sure the Bulldogs will be fine double teaming somebody else

I am missing your point, I'm afraid. 4.4 is really fast. Are you saying that Easley's stat is incorrect? I am well aware that Easley is a wide receiver. Do you have 40 times on Smith and Smith-Marsette? How about Fant and Hock? Please explain your double teaming statement. I am not arguing with your post, I just don't get where you are going with it. Sorry if I am missing something obvious, but would ask for clarification. Thanks!

LOL. That's understated...kinda like saying "The Titanic's navigation wasn't the greatest."

That boiling shithole is essentially a third world country residing in the United States.
What they do produce, however, are football players. Walter Payton, Jerry Rice, and Brett Favre are all Mississippi natives. All three are probably among the top five all time at their positions. You could make an argument that two of them, Payton and Rice, are the best of all time at their positions.

I see some of you have already forgotten our last Outback Bowl opponent, and how well our "physicality" did against that "cream puff" SEC team.

That is a pretty narrow perspective. That Florida team was way better than this MSU team. Also we now have the advantage of knowing that Florida team had 20 future NFL players. 16 of them played the game. We don't usually win games against teams with more pro talent.

MSU may well beat us, but they are not an offensive juggernaut. If it's a trench war game like I'm expecting then I think we win.

The last Outback bowl should have had a far different outcome. Epic bad coaching at its finest. Floridas offense that year was atrocious.
