State's Head Football Coach "It's Going to be a Physical Game"

That is a pretty narrow perspective. That Florida team was way better than this MSU team. Also we now have the advantage of knowing that Florida team had 20 future NFL players. 16 of them played the game. We don't usually win games against teams with more pro talent.

MSU may well beat us, but they are not an offensive juggernaut. If it's a trench war game like I'm expecting then I think we win.
If you remember correctly that Florida team was supposed to have no offense as well. They scored plenty against our defense. There have been many games this year where we were pushed around on both sides of the ball as well. Remember Northwestern. Almost 200 yards rushing in Kinnick with a true freshman rb. Wisconsin? Shoved our line around in Kinnick. We were not good against teams with a pulse. CJ was a hell of a lot better qb than Stanley the statue. Our offense then had far more talent than the one we have now as well.

Welp no point to play then.

Just my two cents, but can we stop with the conference affiliation crap. We play a Big Ten schedule, they play an SEC schedule...We won games, they won games. We lost games, They lost games. Sure some of the teams they played may have been "better" than some of the teams we've played, but had they beat those teams their record would be better and they

Not even going to question how you define teams with a pulse, but couldn't you make that same point based on MSU's performance against the teams "with a pulse" that they lost to?

Not narrow at all.
A "cream puff" 8-4 SEC team vs B10 bullies Iowa then,
And a "cream puff" 8-4 SEC team vs B10 bullies Iowa now.

I'm sure it'll be a tough game. I'm not predicting anything crazy. I will say it won't be a blowout either way. Their QB seems pretty good and we'll have to keep him from having running lanes. We do that and put them in 3rd and longs and I like our chances of winning the field position battle.

At least it might "neutralize" our own punt game...

There isnt a person on here that is not concerned about KF not showing up. No one will be surprised if Iowa completely dominates.

I am missing your point, I'm afraid. 4.4 is really fast. Are you saying that Easley's stat is incorrect? I am well aware that Easley is a wide receiver. Do you have 40 times on Smith and Smith-Marsette? How about Fant and Hock? Please explain your double teaming statement. I am not arguing with your post, I just don't get where you are going with it. Sorry if I am missing something obvious, but would ask for clarification. Thanks!
Fant is reported at 4.6 but Iowa claims he improved that. Easley was reported by Iowa at 4.4 which would be faster than a third of the receivers in the NFL. I’m calling bullshit . Smith Marsette was reported to be a 4.3. That’s Rod Woodson speed. Calling bullshit on that as well . My point is we really don’t have good team speed at that position

So, when you don't like what a team reports, just call "bullshit". Sounds good. Did you call bullshit on McCarron, as well?

I guess I will go with the coaches on this one, rather than a fan like me. But, thanks for clarifying your views.

I guess we will see our super fast receivers get open by 20 yards in the bowl game . Since the coaches say they are super fast.

Northwestern did not push us around. Our defense tired out because our offense couldn't stay on the field.

Wisconsin did push us around, but considering they had a couple All Americans on the Oline and I believe 3 1st Team All B1G guys that’s not super surprising. They likely have the best Oline in the country. Wisconsin ran on everybody this year even when the knew it was coming. We win that game if not for two special teams turnovers.

CJB was playing at about 65%-70% in that bowl game. So while I agree he’s a better QB than Stanley, he really didn’t have mobility on that particular day.

Hate to break it to you but it would take a long time to get a 20 yard lead on somebody when your 40 time is only .1-.2 seconds faster than them, especially when they start anywhere from 5-15 yards downfield.

They are at or near the bottom of the heap in nearly every negative statistical study. Education, poverty etc.
They do lead the nation in at least one category. Fire Ants.

I've heard fire ants can wreak havoc in places like golf courses. Walk on their nest and they are all over your shoe before you can step off.

If they get on your boat or other water vessel and you don't realize it until your in the middle of the lake? You're screwed.

Now they are starting to breed with domestic queens and adapt to colder and colder temperatures? Yikes.

He is not worth reasoning with. And he seldom replies to other's posts. When we win, according to him, its either a fluke or the other team didn't have a pulse. According to him our only teams who have playmakers are our past and future ones. According to him, we can't recruit our way out of a paper bag. Until they succeed in the NFL, then it's we didn't use them enough.

Again, he's like the ten year old kid who plays ding dong ditch, and is still playing it at seventeen with the same level of enjoyment. He has to sit back an get some perverse enjoyment out of it because he keeps doing it.

Cream puffs? Easy. I'm not sure what you base that on, but you're wrong, and every single team they have played has more speed than anything we have seen this year. They have played much better teams than what we have seen in the mighty west division of our conference.

Can I get a hell ya for the cream puffs of the SEC?
