He reminds me a lot of Tom Brady. The way he looks to the way he interviews. Brady wasn't a household name while at Michigan but flourished under Belichek.
Ricky does need to cut down on turnovers, but, the guy is a winner. Even with the TO's, he was able to make plays, especially in the clutch. The sky is the limit (cliche!!) if he can cut down on the interceptions, especially the one's that go the other way for 6.
The guy takes chances. He may throw a bad one here & there but I'll take his record over many others with less TO's, because again, the guy is a winner & unifies his team & gets them to responds.
Contrast this with Jake Christensen. Jake was not a player that took chances. He didn't squeeze the ball in & would only throw it if the receiver was wide azz open. Often times, he took sacks while waiting when he should have thrown the ball away. Jake didn't take chances & didn't make plays, either. I guess what I am trying to say is that, yes, Ricky S. does force the ball or in the past make the best decisions, but, he makes the plays & gets wins. I'll take that. His interceptions should drastically go down this year. He seems to have the right frame of mind as a senior. Should be exciting!!!
