Thru 4 games-

2009: 56.3% completion per., 779 yards passing, 5 TD, 5 INT, 113.4 rating.

2010: 66.7% completion per. (66/99), 999 yds, 9 TD, 1 INT, 179.4 rating.

Rick is quietly having a very very good season.

He's having a great season. The only thing missing is a win at Arizona. Lots of wins to go, it's time for Big Ten football!

More importantly he is 21-4 (I think) as a starter. I think I saw the top 4 current NCAA leaders and #4 had 24, so I am guessing he is right up there in wins. Here's to eight more wins!

AND that on interception was a great throw, it just bounced off the receiver into the air. A gift for AZ, and the difference in the game. That game was more than a fluke. A blip on the radar. Most college football fans are too ignorant to give out props, especially Arizona for some reason. You could have a 3-3 North Carolina team and someone would be holding up a "We are #1" and saying how they could beat anyone and that the only reason they lost games is because..... _______.

It hurts to lose, and it should. I hope the AZ game does cost us an undefeated season as it would be nice to go undefeated in the B10. If that ends up to be true... one could always wonder what if. Would Iowa have gone undefeated had they beat AZ?

I hope we have this to talk about in December!

I think that it is a bit more appropriate to compare the OOC games instead of just the first 4 games. The '09 games were a little skewed because PSU's D was pretty darn solid.

Another great game this week and Stanzi should be considered in the top 3 QB's in the country. The stats don't lie.

Yup, but he won't be. With sexier names like Denard Robinson, Cam Newton, Ryan Mallett, Jake Locker, Andrew Luck, Terrelle Pryor, etc., he'll never be considered a top 3 QB. His game is too free of showiness and flash to be in the conversation. Consider him like Joe Flacco. Does everything right and finds a way to win but isn't built for SportsCenter.

I'll be the first to admit that I cringe sometimes at Rickyball but look at the dude's record. Iowa was treading water until he took over for Christensen and it's been balls to the walls since then. Hell, we probably would have been undefeated last season had he not been injured. And he won a BCS game. You know who never did that? All of those other great QBs who have played here since the 50s. College football legends. Heisman runner-ups.

The results don't lie. Getting those results ain't always pretty but they don't lie. Plus, he's from Ohio...and that doesn't suck as far as future recruiting is concerned.

Oh, and I'd be remiss if I didn't say LOVE IT OR LEAVE IT AMERICA #1!
