Stanley bandwagon is deboarding, watch your step as you leave

Stanley had better stats than park. However he overthrew like 5 passes that woulda been tds or huge gains. The kids got an arm. What sucks is he loses a lot next year

He basically only loses Vandeberg and the RB's. He returns Easley, Fant, Marsette, B. Smith, etc.

Is this thread in jest? I mean did my eyes deceive me or did a true Sophomore throw for over 300 with 5 tds the first time he played on the road? That last drive in the 4th q he had some great throws and plays. He's got some moxie in him to with that live arm. Would it have been nice if he'd have hit one or two of those deep ones he missed? Sure would have but to me that'd have been icing on the cake after the day he had. I'm going to live it up and not dwell on the little things just yet. I'll let the coaches do the nitpicking with him. In the mean time let's celebrate having who will probably be the BIG 10s offensive player of the week if not close darn to it.

He's played two lousy teams and had his struggles. Why not design some plays for Boyle???? Boyle option-game with our RBs could be fun.

Stanley in 2 games:
458 yards, 8 TDs, 1 Int
Stanley already has more passing TDs than we had the entire 1st year under GDGD. I'm impressed. Partially because Stanley is a special talent but also we are finally getting back to what Iowa offense is supposed to look like. The passing scheme and routes look much better. How many 300+ yard passing games did we have since 2012? Not enough considering the talent at QB.

So far, I'm happy with about 99% of passing plays called by Brian. Some of his rushing plays have been a little WTF, however.

The author is spewing nonsense in order to get a rise out of people. Stanley is doing great. I, for one, believe we have the beginnings of a great QB on our hands.

OP, are you serious? Sophomore starter with very little experience in a hostile environment?

Nate Stanley KILLED it at Joke Trice.

So are we really complaining about 27-41 for 333 and 5 TDS? He needed those five overthrown to be caught for 32-46 for 533 and 10 TDS. Then I will give him credit. Come on guys, I was VERY impressed with him today. I think we witnessed someone growing up a ton today. If you want to bitch, why isn't anyone complaining about Jewel? Or is he off limits because we all love him and don't want to admit it. He struggled.

Iowa media already made an excuse for Jewell. He had a hurt footsie.

I would hope he has good stats after playing 2 patsies

Am I the only one who thought on the second long miss to Fant that Fant turned and looked too early and slowed down because of it? I also would have been a little happier had Fant laid out for it.

That being said Fant had a heck of a game and just continues to get better the more he plays. He is the one I am worried will leave after next season.

Stanley impressed me today. Missed a few deep balls but never looked scared and didn't make any bad mistakes. Great win. That would be a demoralizing loss for those Clowns though wow.

Missed three touchdown passes and not a bad mistake? A demoralizing win.
