Iowa’s 61-point margin of victory (111-50) equals the sixth-largest win in school history. It was Iowa’s largest margin of victory since the Hawkeyes beat Pepperdine in 1966 by the very same score (111-50).

· Iowa’s 61-point triumph marks the ninth time in school history Iowa won by 60 points or more

· The 61-point defeat matches SIU-Edwardsville’s largest margin of defeat (its first season of basketball, 1967-68)

· Iowa’s 111 points are the most the Hawkeyes have scored since accumulating 112 vs. North Texas (112-64) on Nov. 16, 1998

· Iowa’s 111 points marked the 24th time Iowa amassed 111 points or more in a contest

· Eric May had seven steals, which ties four other Hawkeyes for the fourth most in a single-game

Some non all-time stats (this game specifically):

Stubbs was perfect from the field. 3-3 from field, 2-2 from 3 pt land, 4-4 from FT. In 9 minutes of play.

Stormer was also perfect from field. 3-3 from field, 2-2 from 3 pt land.

38 FT attempts tonight as a team for Iowa.

Iowa might need some minutes at the 1 from Marble. He played there for an extended period in the 2nd half.

That was seriously enjoyable to watch, I may have to jump back on the bandwagon. Now if we could put 80+ up against Wake and get the W i could see some people starting to get excited about this team.

Mac is the best thing to happen to Hawkeye BB since Mr. Davis!!!

I like the enthusiasm but that team we played tonight was AWFUL

Lots of fun to watch tho!

Forgot one:

SIU-E is the worst team Iowa has faced sine they played Marathon Oil in an exhibition game in 1992

And Iowa did exactly what they were suppose to do to a team like that....blew them out. A Lickliter coached team would probably had trouble scoring more than 65 against the same competition.

Let's not get crazy. I think they lose (not in a blowout) at Wake, but every other game in the non-conference in winnable.

This is the first I have had a chance to watch this team. I know it was a against a lesthan formidable opponent but holy crap that was more fun to watch than anything I have seen in years!! Cartwright is impressive, Basabe will be a great player in time, May wil be a dominant player in the Big Ten, Gatens will be a fantastic 1-2 with May(that's right, I don't think he is the best player, or even close to, on the team) and I am extremely excited about McCabe and others!! I am sore much more excited about this team winning ten games than any team in the recent history!

GO HAWKS!!

GO FRAN!!

What about the ISU game? My Clone friends seem to think Freddy has them back in the dance this year. They are "averaging 91 points per game and are playing hard."

Maybe I'm kidding myself, but I really think we have a chance against Wake, ISU, UNI and Drake. I think we can win 2 of those games. I'm just not sold on Wake, ISU or Drake, even though ISU is winning right now.
