Les Miles can't be compared to Ferentz and certainly not Kingsbury. Kingsbury might be coaching high school in a few years. Les Miles can recruit talent just on his name while Ferentz can't recruit period. Les will end up at a major program competing for a National Championship like Texas. He wouldn't take a job like Iowa.
You make KF head coach at LSU and there is no way at all he plays in two National Championship games during his first 7 years.
Lets see who shows up to play for him in Purdue.....something tells me there will be a drastic "drop off" in his recruiting from LSU to Purdue....
Figured out the solution to our KF 'problem' (huge salary, mediocre results)...Take the money ($80 or $90 mil) allocated for the stupid End Zone remodel (do any of us give a rats a$$ about?), and buyout KF (or force him to retire), and get an agressive coach who is a proven winner (like Miles).
They are the same dude. At least KF can develop players. If you are going to go 7-5, I rather enjoy it with the two star from Solon.
I'd hold out for 30 million and 1.Fleck is going to be available. That being said, your solution is probably exactly what kf wants. I know I'd take a cool $30 mill to get fired. Who wouldn't?
Josey Jewell was a late signing and didn't have many if any other than Iowa offers. If I remember correctly his fallback was Luther, maybe UNI.Who has KF developed lately ( not comparing to LM ) ?
How do you explain 5 stars who never get better. Both great players. But, both played as freshmen. Underrated recruits, obviously. But, have they gotten a lot better? If they had no coaching at all, 3-4 years playing b1g ball would make them better. So, with coaching should mean a significant improvement.
He will have Purdue beating Iowa in 3 years.Lets see who shows up to play for him in Purdue.....something tells me there will be a drastic "drop off" in his recruiting from LSU to Purdue....

Which means what exactly?
