Clearly not going to happen but if it was an option??
Big 12 doesn't get the national exposure and won't receive the revenue that Big Ten teams enjoy. It's a secondary conference with mostly secondary level teams that to a large degree have no natural rivalry with each other. On the other side it is a conference where you can recruit second level talent and compete for championships and maybe even an invite to the playoffs
The Big Ten is a more respected conference that will get more national attention. But the other side of the new Big Ten along with NIL makes it almost impossible for Iowa to ever challenge for championships. Ohio State, Michigan, Penn Sate, USC have enormous resources to build teams that are just head and shoulders above anything Iowa can put together
The days of recruiting, developing and coaching are giving away to buying championships! Michigan is offering $5,000,000 to flip the QB committed to LSU. Hard to compete with that
Still wouldn't want to be in Big 12
