so much for "we beat PITT"

Welp, too little too late for Pitt. 26-19 is the final. Their offense looked terrible toward the end. They gave up on the run too soon (sound familiar?). NC gifted them some first downs with penalties on the Pitt's last drive.

Well, it was a nice run for Iowa, but I guess its all over now.

There was a horrible missed holding call on North Carolina during one of their scoring drives. Narduzzi went nuts. It happened right in front of him and a ref when Williams scrambled down the right sideline for a 15-20 yard gain. One of the worst no calls I've seen this season.

I think these two teams were very evenly matched. The difference was a couple big plays. Their defense is legit, but Pitt could really use another offensive weapon. Boyd just isn't enough. He needs someone else to step up and take some of the attention off of him.

Are you giving up on them? Because I certainly am not. I was just commenting on the game because a thread was started and I was watching the games anyways so why not throw in my $0.02.

As for our beloved Hawkeyes, the national championship is the ceiling until they lose. That is fact and there ain't no shame in that.

7 point loss to a 6-1 team. No big deal. Pitt didn't play well, plus North Carolina is a decent team. Stuff happens. Pitt was still tough when we beat them the night we played them and still a good win.

i think you should sharpen up your sarcasm detector....

UNC is beating PITT and its not really that close. Pitt can not over come the UNC defense. And UNC is playing very good pass defense. UNC also is not strugling with pitt's defense either.

My high school football coach said something that I think applies to this.

Anytime someone would come off the field ******** about getting held or interfered with he would tell them to go hit the locker room, and to come back when they start worrying about things they could control. When he said the locker room he meant it too.

Of anything I learned in sports or life growing up that's stuck with me the most and I teach my son the same thing.

Might ease your mind a little to take some of that advice.
