So how much trouble are we talking?

The denying and deflecting has already begun....

Tom Izzo

“We are aware of the report in Yahoo! Sports. While we will cooperate with any and all investigations, we have no reason to believe that I, any member of our staff or student-athlete did anything in violation of NCAA rules.”

Michigan State Interim Athletics Director Bill Beekman

“MSU is committed to a culture of NCAA compliance. We have proactively contacted the NCAA and Big Ten Conference. As Coach Izzo has stated, there is no evidence that he or anyone in his program, including student-athletes, did anything impermissible.”

Pfffff..... You think he's gonna sit Bridges preemptively? Not a chance. What kind of car is Bridges pulling up with to home games? Sometimes the media is so lazy at their gigs when the obvious is just staring you in the face.
Reggie Bush was driving Hummers and his family moved into some fancy house in LA when he went to USC and that was day 1 his freshman year. None of that was 'uncovered' or made public till well after he'd won the Heisman and been in the pros. Even as obvious as this is I'm not holding my breath anyones feet will be held to the fire

Told you guys!!!! Miles Bridges is going to finish out this season, no questions asked. Then he'll enter the NBA draft in April. By the time anyone thinks to look twice, he'll be long gone. Not that the NCAA would do anything anyway. Nor Izzo. He'll let his players molest co-eds left and right. Why would he care that Bridges got paid?

There is LITERALLY FBI obtained evidence. This is like some Trump level of lying where you can just say the sky is red.

This could lead to criminal charges which would not be taken so likely and definitely not handled by the weak NCAA. Wire fraud, bribery, etc with 6 figure numbers of dollars could be cause to worry for many.

Kentucky did an "internal review" and found no violations regarding Knox - who is on that spread sheet. Knox is playing the rest of the season for Kentucky.

We've been bagging on Frans deal here lately but Arizona's Miller sure got himself a nice parachute. He's going to get 10 mill for when he's terminated with cause to go away. What get's me is how did him having a clause in his deal like that to begin with not raise red freaking flags. There's only one reason for he and his agent to want that sort of a clause in his deal and that's knowing your doing dirty things and protecting yourself if/when you get caught. That to me means the school is complicit. That's them saying we don't care how you recruit/win just do it and we're ok with it till it all comes to light and then we'll be forced to let you go.

That's not how that works. If he's terminated with cause they don't have to pay his buyout.
Most of the time that's true not in his case..... Schools sure as hell don't offer it. He and his agent asked for it and got it. Again there's no way they do that if they aren't doing things 'the right way'. There is no reason on earth to even request that sort of deal if your not cheating. So the AD sure as hell knew. The school looked other way. Just their way of trying to keep a coach that had all the connections to pay kids. He was just dumb enough to get himself directly caught in a convo that was wire tapped. But he did so knowing if at any point he got clipped he was still getting paid...

It wouldn’t be necessary for the coach to know. An Agent or booster are going to want the best possible return on their investment. It’s possible to direct a player to a blue-blood school without the coach knowing.

That being said, all coaches and ADs know there is a very dark underbelly to D1 Basketball.

“Ironically” with this crap coming out, Barta has said THIS year that Fran (and Kirk) do things the right way. Mock him all you want. Doesn’t mean he’s wrong.

However, Doing things the right way doesn’t mean you screw your self with extreme contract buyouts.

Oh holy crap, I didn't realize his contract was structured that way. That is a HUGE red flag IMO.

Almost to an epic Hillary level of lying....
It’s almost like you’re saying, “point collusion at your opponent so the collusion target isn’t on you and IF it finally gets pointed at you then it’s just your opponent saying the same thing about you because you said it about him”
but by that time everyone is sick and tired of it so who cares what really happened.
