So amazing to see ...

Michigan - Penn State

... teams adjust to the blitz
... attempts to return punts
... a QB flushed out of the pocket make an accurate throw on the run
... a QB throw the ball deep downfield and hit the receiver in stride
Crazy isn't it. Their offensive coordinators aren't complete morons like our OC is. Our qb is nailed to the ground, and is lucky if he can hit a receiver on a 5 yard crossing route in stride.

CJB to Tevaun Smith in the Big 10 Champ Game. It can be done at Iowa
That was first play of the fourth quarter, correct?

I wonder how much lobbying Davis had to do to get the head master to approve. That game up to that point had been a battle of field goals and field position, the kind of game Kirk loves.

It was MSU 9 Iowa 6 at that point. I wonder if Kirk in his heart would rather have played field position and ball control and played for OT with one more FG. He couldn't have been happy when his defense couldn't get off the field on that long, last drive.

Just trying to see it through his lens.

How about qb's that don't act like a blitzer is some wild animal that suddenly appeared in front of them? I swear Iowa qb's have been noticeably flinching on every blitz for as long as I can remember.

Or a qb who can just take a couple steps to gain more time instead of running out of the pocket ( or my favorite, spinning around in circles ).

Penn State's blitz in the fourth quarter was interesting the blitzer was running full speed across the line when the ball was snapped.....

Or so it seemed late in the evening

Yeah both D's were aggressive all night.

But, the O's managed it- only 3 sacks and 1 pick between the teams.
