Slate article on situation

I still believe that Brian is a good Xs and Os coach. The game he called against OSU in 2017 may be the best game I have ever been to as a Hawks fan. We all remember the next week. Ugh. He did call a helluva bowl game that one time against USC. The long ball at the end of the PSU game was an excellent call. I think we have a serious "Jimmy's and Joe's" problem right now and the Xs and Os mean nothing if you are rolling out there with slightly above MAC level talent. I've defended the guy and his old man and I try to point out his bright spots (which are quickly getting massively overshadowed), but after driving over 20 hours to watch Tory Taylor punt the ball a bunch of times and the defense get hung on the field all night even my patience is wearing thin.
I don't think your alone. Well stated

If this continues the way it is trending, Brian will fall on the sword at the end of the year. He has too much respect, admiration, love for his father not to.
No way. Did you see his presser Tuesday? That guy’s not going anywhere.

You all remember that Barta hired Brian, not Kirk.
( Conflict of interest remember) so Barta should be able to fire Brian anytime. If he doesn't because of Kirk then that conflict of interest is true like we all knew it was! Iowa's nepotism rules and guidelines bullshit! Regardless after three OC's and mediocre offense for the last 20 some years do any of you think it would matter. This is KF football and you all best pin the blame on the donkey it belongs! Kirk is stuck in a time warp. Play special teams, solid defense and take no chance on offense and capitalize on the other teams mistakes. Works 50/50 but the problem is half the teams we play practice the same shit because they are stuck as a mid-level team as Iowa. 2 and 3 star players and development with half the chance when stars align to play respectable games against the blue blood programs. So admit it, accept it and live with it otherwise jump on the bamma bandwagon if you want to win 99 out of 100 times.
