Sadly I think that door Brands left open is being shut by Skon. I noticed he officially took off his twitter feed that he is an Iowa wrestler. Oh well...wish him the best BUT we need people who want to be in that room. Adios Skon.
 
Maybe he just wasn't mentally prepared for the college level. Grades, homesick, missed his friends too much. Could be though that he was getting his but kicked in the wrestling room and he just couldn't accept that. Life goes on. Brandon Sorenson will do just fine.

I dont think this was the case at all. Very talented young man wish him well at whatever he decides to do.
 
Word from around Iowa City is that he left because he doesn't like being away from home.

Never have I ever said I was an expert. However I have seen Nate go live in the room serveral times and he was not "getting his butt kicked in the wrestling room" wanted to clear that option as a reason why he left. That is all. I have no idea why he left to go back to Ohio.

Definitely disappointing. Since he's been gone this long I doubt he'll be back. What would raise my ire is to see him re-emerge in a Buckeye or Penn State singlet. That said, it wouldn't be the first time someone has switched schools.

Well yes, but not exactly. It always hurts more when they leave the Hawks than when they leave some other program ;)

Besides, I don't think Laux stands much chance at cracking the lineup with Gillman and Clark standing in his way. It definitely hurt Wisky much more than it helps the Hawks. I don't think there's much doubt that Skon would make a big impact for any team if he keeps applying himself. Apparently he doesn't enjoy hunting and relaxing with a chainsaw :p
