You are DEAD WRONG. Iowa has the 15th largest fan base int he nation and is more or less tied for 4th in the BIG with wisconsin for fan base size.
You clowns aren't even in the top 50 nationally. Unlike you we are NOT leeching off the BIG. Get over it.

Additionally, Iowa's athletic department typically ranks in the top 20 nationally in terms of "margin"--revenue/expenses. Texas and OSU are at the top, but teams like Iowa and Wisky are around 15th the last time I looked.
Iowa's athletic dept is pretty profitable.

Here in Madison today, there are a lot of "Shuck em Bucky" t shirts.
Possibly a similar methodology to the phonology of the "Muck Fichigan" shirts, but I'm not sure. I'll do some research.

You can buy shirts like this an Iowa Book for sure whenever Iowa plays a big game. They are there. I've seen anti-OSU shirts on Iowa fans for sure.
We're better than Iowa State in every way but we can't rip on them for this.

Yes...our athletic budget dwarfs ISU's...yet we will still get beat by their teams in the majority of sports this year. Lets brag about our huge athletic budget though.

Derp. My comment was in response to previous posts. I'm not bragging, I'm providing a counterpoint to the assertion that Iowa is in a similar spot to ISU with regard to needing to be "fed" by the big programs.
I was simply providing some actual facts for comparison. Now, you all may continue to whine about t shirts.

Iowa fans are obsessed with the clowns but yet it is a large number of clown fans who come to our board...why would that be? Who is really obsessed with whom?
Right now Iowa is starting their Big 10 schedule where their most important rivalries exist.
The clowns played their ONE and ONLY rival and have no more rivalries nor have they ever had a rivalry with a school from the big 12. And to top it off, the clowns aren't even the Hawks primary rival. During the week that the clowns play Iowa, there is an intensity between the two schools but nothing like, say Iowa/Wisconsin or Iowa/MSU or Iowa/Illinois or Iowa/Penn St or any other number of Big 10 teams and Iowa.
The clowns are a preseason game that Iowa has to play because the clowns need the money from the game so badly.
Just another case of a mouth to feed...but the clowns program should be used to that after all these years of taking but never contributing. A sad sad program and where UNI competes with the the clowns for second best in the State of Iowa.
And yes, the clowns win about once every 3 years in this "fierce rivalry."

+3, I'd bet the house there are far far far more clowns on HN then vice versa. Stay off the board and you wouldn't hear anything from the vast majority of us because we could care less. Your program is very very bad year in and year out. Disagree? Give us a list of your top 20 finishes? Top 10 finishes? Bowl wins? Case closed
