Sid Hartman: Iowa has no RBs like Weisman

I was reading this in the crapper at work and laughed out loud. No Weisman is a good thing.

Choose your destructor...no weisman....L. Daniels it is...."The choice is made." "Oh, what did you do Ray?"

I like Weisman but he's right Iowa doesn't have a Weisman they have an much improved running game. A running game capable of putting up 200 yards and then some on the rodents.

I love Sid. He has been saying all week that Iowa has played nobody and the Gophers will win, even though they are banged up. Doesn't make me love Sid any less, he is like 94 yrs old BTW, for real

There's a reason that papers assign a guy to cover a certain team.

It appears Sid Hartman is attempting to know everything about every Minnesota teams match up and as a result, he said something stupid.

Sid Hartman absolutely hates Iowa. Back in '80 he openly accused Hayden of cheating when the Hawks signed the top two prospects from Minnesota. Sid went nuts when John Alt & Dave Strobel went to Iowa. His biggest problem is that if Iowa can do it why can't Minnesota. Hartman really resents the success of Iowa under Hayden & Kirk.

We do too have running backs like Weisman. They play fullback. We have actual running backs playing running back.

Does he work for SECPN?

No, he doesn't - and I'm surprised you don't know who this guy is.

In Minnesota, he is treated with a level of respect and integrity about two levels above God Himself - and has for decades.

Outside of Minnesota, you put this moniker on anything that bears his name: "WARNING - Bad journalist alert!!" I could go on and on about him, but I've already typed far more than his body of work is worth.

Yup - you absolutely nailed it - good memory. But even beyond that, I can't stand the guy because he was one of the early ones to bring down the standard of sports journalism. But as I said in another post, not one person from the state of Minnesota (outside of a few Hawks fans) either knows that or cares - he walks on water as far as they are concerned.
