I like Herbstreit and for the most part appreciate the way he has covered the Hawkeyes over the years. One of the good guys at ESPN. Too bad he felt he had to get out of Dodge.

Seriously, I always thought Ohio St with all the booster money was a well ran with channeling money to the right people like a well oiled machine. They seem to be one of the cleanest "dirty" programs out there. Kind of like the mob. Well, they are close to Youngstown, OH.

Actually, he has one. It's his willingness to be objective that has bent some Buckeye fans out of shape. He'd be spineless if he just pandered to Ohio State. I applaud him for sticking to his guns and telling it like it is.

When I was in Texas a couple years back, I went to a friends grandparent's place for their familyThanksgiving just outside Dallas. We were watching the Cowboys game and they all seemed to have something against Troy Aikman. They said he wasn't saying enough good things about the Cowboys. I thought that was kind of strange and this whole deal reminds me of it.

There's also no state income tax in Tennessee. I'm sure that played no part in his decision to move.
