What Bruce did is wrong but it is only public because he got caught and eventually told the truth. So I have a huge problem if he gets fired over this and never coaches again at this level because of what he has done for the university. There are plenty of other coaches out there that get by with murder and still have a job. Inviting a kid to a BBQ is a pretty sad way to lose ones job but coaches and boosters that pay kids are so much better and still have million dollar contracts. NCAA needs to crack down on these basketball manufacturing schools like they have done with major college football.

He didn't just "invite a kid to a BBQ". He lied about it, and called the parents to encourage them to lie about it also.

Dex Bryant gets suspended for a year for lying to the NCAA about something that was legal. Pearl lied to coverup recruiting violations. Shouldn't Pearl get at least a one year suspension too.

Great point! Will further illustrate the hypocrisy and inconsistency of the NCAA if Pearl is not suspended.
