Shonn Greene plays for a BAD NY Jets team

Last night's loss to the lowly Titans (5-9) took the word professional out of professional football. A bad quarterback (four INTs, all poorly thrown balls and none due to remarkable play by defenders), disorganized and confused coaching staff, willingness to insert a back-up quarterback only long enough to further reduce the chance to win and to destroy his confidence. The Jets defense played well enough to give the team a chance to win, but the offense totally stunk. Actually, Greene would feel quite at home on this year's Iowa squad.

Even when Tennessee tried to be charitable this holiday season and gift the boys in green with a shanked punt late in the game, giving NY the ball at the Titan's 25 and a chance to score and win the game with 47 seconds left, Sanchez fumbled the snap out of shotgun, the Titans recover and the Jets are out of the playoffs. Look for Jets management to clean house at the end of the season. What a mess.

Hopefully, the ex-Hawk will land on his feet. He deserves better.

Chad.

I like Rex Ryan, but why would you start a quarterback who shouldn't even be in the league? It's sad to say but I think Tebow gives them a better chance of winning. And not because he is a better quarterback, but because he is a better football player. Even McElroy didn't play that bad a few weeks ago when he came in for the injuried Sanchsucks.

At one point, before I turned that travesty off, Sanchez was getting a little rhythm going. The next thing you know, here comes Tebow into the game. He promptly botches a handoff, then trots off the field.
I could swear I read Sanchez's lips on the sideline saying, WTF?
That team is a total train wreck.

When Mike Tirico commented on the confused Jets subbing situation "It's hard to watch an NFL team struggle with the most basic concept," one die-hard Jets fan tweeted "Oh, you get used to it."

Well depending on how the dominos fall this off season maybe if Stanzi can hand off to Greene next yr...Fat chance of that but damn have there been 2 teams in as bad of shape as the Jets and Chiefs are today? If Sanchez has a starting job the rest of this yr or next yr anywhere for that matter it could set the game of football itself back 20 yrs. He's been terrible. They would be better off running wildcat with Tebow/Greene/Powell/anyone else at all then letting Sanchez play.

I think Greene is in the final year of his deal.. He better get the hell out of town.. They have never used him as they should..Their oline is about as bad as the Bears.

Sadly, 4 years is about the shelf life of the average RB in the NFL. He will get another contract, but he better not expect too much money or for it to last too long.

But the thing is he is not your typical 4 year running back. There could be a lot left in the tank as Shonn Greene has not had the typical mileage on him as most other "power" running backs. He only played 1 full season at Iowa and only 2 with the Jets with a full workload as he only has 789 career carries in the NFL. He has been relatively healthy his entire career and has had decent numbers even though he is playing on a bad football team.

Well the thing about Greene being with the Jets is that's home to him too. Having been back home since his college days. I wonder if the money is the same if he'd leave to go to be a 2nd fiddle somewhere else. I totally agree with what some of you are saying about how he doesn't have the same milaege as alot of rbs that have 4 yrs under their belt. He should have alot to give yet but rbs are always one snap away from playing their last. I'd say unless the Jets are done with him he'll want to stay regardless of the state of the team

What got me was the Jets took over with about 4 minute to go down 14 to 10. Plenty of time. They run Greene twice and he gets almost 20 yards on two carries, one run was for double digits. Gruden makes the remark the Titans are going to have a hard time stopping the run with the way Greene was going. The Jets take him out and stop running. Everyone but the Jets coaches have it figured out.

With the rumors of Erb leaving, maybe we've just found our new RB coach.

And with this bragging, AIRBHG will remind Mr. Greene who owns his soul. Greene misses 2013 season with an ACL tear suffered in Week 17.

I'd like to see him in a Packer's uniform. I think he'd be a good fit there. They really have no running game right now.
