Session II 4:00 pm

telfords match was one of biggest of the year so far in my book! we've seen our young guys (exception evans) beat guys they should but never turn the corner and beat higher ranked wrestlers. that was a great win.

Lofthouse lost in OT M
MCD , Ramos, Marion , St John, Evens, Telford all won and are in the finals.
 
McD-struggled against Delgado like usual but pulled it out. Now gets Sanders who he owns and has never lost to.

Ramos-Beat Futrell who he owns lately. Solid win, looked good. Now he gets a shot at revenge against Stieber.

Marion-waited a long time like usual but turned it on late and beat a very good Stieber getting revenge.

Kelly-wrestled pretty poorly but got a W late and with one more tomorrow makes Nationals.

StJ-great job to beat Alton who is really good. StJ went through #2 and #3 today. Has to get Welch tomorrow who he's beaten before. Huge win for Hawks here.

Evans-best of the night. Dominates a top 10 wrestler and #3 seed 17-2 (i believe.)

Lofthouse-wrestled a decent match until the last 5 seconds when he turned a sure win to a loss (AGAIN) against Storley who he should be 3-0 against. This one hurt, especially since it was to #1 situated MN.

GG-wrestled well against a total stud. Can't get over the hump against Steinhaus but he's wrestling light years better than he did at 197. Wrights loss here helps out a lot and hurts PSU tremendously.

Telford-second best match of night (or tied for best) as he dominates a very good and #2 ranked Senior in Wade. Huge for the Hawks chances.

Overall - a very good night.

Yes it is! I just like how much better it would look if Ethen holds on. We would be winning the team race now and have 7 finalists versus 4 for MN. That loss was HUGE... HUGE. That's why it was driving Ironside nuts on the radio for nearly an hour after it happened.

Telford helped ease that pain, but unfortunately is was against PSU who is now in 3rd and has only 3 finalists. Now Telford needs to do it again against Nelson. If he and McD can knock their gophers off and we can get 2 of our other 4 guys to win, I think we win with 4 champs. I think if we have 3 champs, we lose.
 
As I've caught up (Missed session II), things sound really good.. some obvious frustration, but some big wins for the team overall.. Wish I was down there for the finals today..
 
Let's not count PSU out. I'm saying they get 3 champs, we get 2 and MN gets 2. It's going to be a hell of a day! Go Hawks!!

2 Champs would be a bit dissappointing for the team.. you'd think to have a shot we'd need at least 3 Champs to wrap this thing up..
