serious ?

Dang it, you guys ruined a perfectly good trolling thread with this donor crap!

I could care less if any of you donate or not, we are all Hawk fans (except the clown trolls). The more of us there are the more money the athletic program makes either through ticket sales, donations, merchandising, or television revenues. There is a reason why it costs so much to attend a 4-5 Hawkeye football game, supply and demand. Even a crappy Hawk team still commands more per ticket than attending a good Iowa State team. If you are not going to the game then you are watching it on TV where the more people watching drive advertising revenues.

So what your saying is that because I dont have deep pockets and am not a big donor I am not suppose to come to this free message board and voice my displeasures and be satisfied with losing to schools like EMU. Is that correct? While your at it, am I worthy of being a true fan? Should I not wear any of my Hawkeye clothing Please ol wise one, say I can. I just dont know what I would do if I cant be because Im not a big donor.

Lastly, what do you consider a big donor? One that donates $20,000, 2% of his annual income or someone that spends 5% of their income.

Ya know what, dont bother, Im done with you, have a nice life.

First thing, u really mad.

Second thing, we didnt play an EMU this year and can never remember losing to an EMU.

hahahahahaha

I just find it hilarious that the vocal majority on here are more than likely the ones that dont donate a dime, dont attend I Club functions and dont support the University in anyway besides their annual football ticket purchase.

Did I correctly identify your type? Or dont you even buy football tickets?

Eyeballs glued to tv screens are damn important to the equation too. If I need to explain why, you clearly do not understand how the world works.

Really? Because I thought B1G teams split all revenue equally from TV and bowl games.

So Indiana gets the same piece of the pie as Michigan, even though they have much fewer "eyeballs" watching.

First of all, your grammar is atrocious. Just wanted to get that out of the way...

Second of all, Iowa has won with running backs, wide receivers, linebackers, defensive backs etc. that ran 4.6's. Heck, some ran 4.7's and 4.8's. Being fast doesn't automatically make you a good football player and 40 times aren't necessarily how fast they play the game. That's just how fast they can run in a straight line.

Lastly, I would hope coaches put more time into their jobs considering the head coach makes four million dollars a year and most of the assistants make six figures. I invest my spare time watching football and talking about it. Being overpaid to coach a game that I follow religiously for fun and spend money on would be a dream 'job'. And I say job lightly because to most, it's a hobby that we're all very passionate about and would love to be more involved with. You act like we should have sympathy for football coaches which is absolutely absurd. Guess what? If they don't like missing holidays and being away from their family, they're free to give up their six and seven figure salaries. Nobody is forcing them to coach a game for a living. Boohoo

people call for more speed, there it is, those same players you listed are considered Slooow, by posters.. so we have to look at what is being recruited to judge future players on, these are the same type players with these listed speeds that Teams like TX, OK, FL, LSU and the USC's of the college football world, to be as fast as those teams you have to recruit those type of players.
