serious ?

hahahahahaha

I just find it hilarious that the vocal majority on here are more than likely the ones that dont donate a dime, dont attend I Club functions and dont support the University in anyway besides their annual football ticket purchase.

Did I correctly identify your type? Or dont you even buy football tickets?

Not even close. No, Im not a big donor, dont make that kind of money. I dont go to I Club events. I live in Upper Michigan. I dont buy season tickets. I do on, occasion make, the trip and attend games which can get rather pricey. I do buy a lot of Hawkeye apparel as it makes up about 80% of my wardrobe. I do pay $70/mo on satellite so I can watch Iowa sports on TV. The only thing that has changed for me this year is Im not going to go to another game until they start to resemble a god D1 football team again.

As far as " it hilarious that the vocal majority on here are more than likely the ones that dont donate a dime, dont attend I Club functions and dont support the University in anyway besides their annual football ticket purchase." goes, Im willing to bet the big donors are not happy either.

So, you are only allowed to be critical if you are a large donor? That is more than a little eletist don't you think? Every bit of the hawkeye apparel I purchase supports the UofI. With thinking like this why even vote only the rich and affluent should be allowed to have an opinion. I know you really can't be that arrogant. I think most of us come on here to talk some football, and lately as a form of therapy cause we are so emotionally invested it almost physically hurts to watch what is going on. What right do you have to attempt muzzle others with a differing opinion? Telling others to "stfu" is pretty lo class. I think you're better than that.

So you buy a few shirts per year and buy some football tickets every once in awhile, most likely on the secondary market. Yet you demand that a better product gets put on that field. Got it.

And im willing to be that "big donors" have a little more patience than the crazies on here.

Not the same dude. Everybody's vote in the election counts as the same. Im sure Barta appreciates your wardrobe purchases but he aint gonna listen to your babbling on a message board the same way he listens to a dude that donates 10K a year. Sorry, those are the facts.

whats funny is that there have beewn 25 coaches in Iowa career, and of those 25 "JUST" 11 have winning records this goes back to 1889, so I am confused where this entitlement comes from.
since 1933 there has been just 4 with +.500 record
Anderson .514 % in 8 seasons
Evy .651% in 9 seasons
Fry .613% IN 20 seasons
Ferentz .581% in 14 Seasons
only 2 coaches with 5 or more seasons have a better winning %
Howard Jones 8 seasons .701% in the 1910 's
Alden Knipe 1890's .705% when they played just 8 games per season
ticket prices are going up all over the place, even ISU charges close to 90 dollars a ticket just for the Iowa game so paying for tickets really doesn't mean a thing

yes I do my research, its a simple thing to do to look under coaches all time records..
I think this what bother alot of you, I do my research and am optimistic about the future because of improved recruiting the last 3 years, and if people would look there are a lot of player that are from the 2010 and 2011 class playing and starting, and there are 2 in Garmon 4.4 40 at RB and Smith 4.4 40 at WR playing this season from thje 2012 class.
this alone must **** off the people who claim RSSO thru FR don't stand a chance of playing..
its one thing to be upset about how this season is going but its uncalled for to call out the players who came here to play FB for Iowa, Fans are nothing more than a sidenote to them
the Coaches put in more time than 99.99% of you do at their jobs, and I am talking about in exccess of 84 HRS a week missing holidays with their families where sit at home on Weekends and the holidays

Soo, If we critisize Kf we are not fans? Dude if you enjoy mediocrity, lack of adaptation, losing to lesser opponents, playing lesser talented players(Law),obvious lack of planning(exe.game clock mismanagement constantly). Then Kf is perfect for you. However, some of us enjoy the game of football and can see when other teams play it better, and then we wonder why our favorite team can't play like that. Then we come to the realization that it comes from Kf.

THIS. X100. Some of us know what good football looks like and we are sick of the crud we have seen the last 2 years. We don't expect 10 or 11 wins every year, but we expect a lot more than we are seeing for $3 million + per year. And don't give me this "who could we get to come to iowa to replace Ferentz" With top 20 facilities, top 20 fan base, top 20 + coaching salary, etc we should be in the top 20 3 out 4 years... We have a lot to offer to many up and coming smart and talented coaches - who want to be a head coach.

If you don't like rubbing elbows with us poor common folk, why not babble with the more enlightened on the pay board? I think we can probably find common ground on the fact we all want to see the hawks win. Difference is you have a blind alegance to the status quo, I however think that we need change to see real progress. And if you believe because you donate some money and hold season tickets that Iowa somehow values your opinion more you're comical. By the way, Why have this conversation at all unless you're finding it therapeutic to rag on the poor folk.

Please show me where I said I'm a huge donor. I didn't and I'm not. I have season tickets, belong to the I club and go to some events.

I'm having this conversation because of the rampant stupidity on this board. And if you really think the University holds Hawkcrush's opinion in the same regard as they do Bill Krause, then you sir are the biggest fool on this board.

Pretty easy solution...ban him

Since he's banned 2 of his other screen names I think its weird he lets the new version of Herby have any leash

What's he supposed to be banned for, having a different opinion than you do? I don't see anything about his post that warranted banning.

I'm sorry if I offended you Bill K. I don't recall writing in any of my previous posts anything about the U listening to anything I say or write, rather you are the one with some dillusion about how having tickets and belonging to the I-club makes you more important, my point here we are both Hawk fans with differing opinions. I however do not consider myself anymore important than anyone else. Honestly, you think Kf cares what Bill Krause has to say about football either? I will continue to watch the hawks and hope for the best, but at this point prepare for the worst.

First of all, your grammar is atrocious. Just wanted to get that out of the way...

Second of all, Iowa has won with running backs, wide receivers, linebackers, defensive backs etc. that ran 4.6's. Heck, some ran 4.7's and 4.8's. Being fast doesn't automatically make you a good football player and 40 times aren't necessarily how fast they play the game. That's just how fast they can run in a straight line.

Lastly, I would hope coaches put more time into their jobs considering the head coach makes four million dollars a year and most of the assistants make six figures. I invest my spare time watching football and talking about it. Being overpaid to coach a game that I follow religiously for fun and spend money on would be a dream 'job'. And I say job lightly because to most, it's a hobby that we're all very passionate about and would love to be more involved with. You act like we should have sympathy for football coaches which is absolutely absurd. Guess what? If they don't like missing holidays and being away from their family, they're free to give up their six and seven figure salaries. Nobody is forcing them to coach a game for a living. Boohoo

So what your saying is that because I dont have deep pockets and am not a big donor I am not suppose to come to this free message board and voice my displeasures and be satisfied with losing to schools like EMU. Is that correct? While your at it, am I worthy of being a true fan? Should I not wear any of my Hawkeye clothing Please ol wise one, say I can. I just dont know what I would do if I cant be because Im not a big donor.

Lastly, what do you consider a big donor? One that donates $20,000, 2% of his annual income or someone that spends 5% of their income.

Ya know what, dont bother, Im done with you, have a nice life.
