Serious question

Has a KF coached team EVER made a defensive stop in this scenario?....
Up by a score or less, under 5:00 left, other team has ball. This scenario ALWAYS ends in a loss. No exceptions. Ever. I feel like we lose 2-3 games per year this way. KF is like 0-30 in those scenarios. Only 'exceptions', are if other team scores too early, and we get an occasional rare comeback victory at the end. (2008 PSU, Mich a few yrs back)

Not only do we rarely stop the other team we rarely drive for a win. We have to lose more games in the last 5 minutes than any other team. Not every game is won in the 1st 55 minutes and seems like KF needs to acknowledge that and get better.

I know in 2016 it happened twice vs Rutgers and Minnesota. Iowa withstood long final drives to seal the game .

While true the problem with that is....

When Wisconsin fumbled in front of our goal line? I think that was more Wisconsin messing up than the fact that we stopped them.

The Iowa D goes into not giving the big play which leaves little or no time on the clock. It's not about bad breaks.

It gets old. It’s called Ferentzing. Play not to lose.

Exciting game were it not that we new the likely outcome of giving the ball back and what would then happen.

In reality given the team weaknesses its tough to win on the road against these two. IL NW and Nebby might not be easy.

Nate Meier moved inside on that play, got a great push, moved the bad-ger line into the QB, and caused the fumble. The bad-gers also had a drive at the end of the game that Iowa stopped.

Not good in-game coach or recruiter but truly and do mean truly great standard bearer for IOWA WAY and now IOWA CULTURE for "bosses pay for that HAPPILY! Go very TOUGH PLAYERS.ALWAYS PROUD OF THEM and enjoy HAWK FANS. Yo Pray for SURF huh?
