Boy, this guy is a bitter Jacka$$!! He definately has blinders on for the SEC. I think the Big 10 did pretty well in last year bowl games, especially high profile.
Money speaking, it's pretty damn impressive when the Indiana's & Northwestern's make more revenue then the top teams in other BCS conferences.

Finebaum hosts a radio show syndicated across the South, he is like the Jim Rome of Alabama playing Auburn and Crimson Tide fans against each other. He regularly goes with blind items, just makes stuff up, or spreads rumours. He singlehandedly championed the "Urban Myer to Notre Dame" story from a year ago.
The whole article is like a love letter to the SEC commissioner, but many fans of other conferences see Delany as an anti-playoff villian. The trend towards bigger conferences, mega-conferences, or whatever is being led by a guy that doesn't want a playoff.
