Season Tickets Next Year

Shouldn't be a problem getting for you people that were snubbed this year. The ones that bought extra tickets just to make $ won't be buying next year.

Of course. Our home schedule is ugly next year. There will be plenty of 'openings' for new season ticket holders. I will be trying to add 2 more to my group.

Two things will drive season tix sales down a little next season.

1. We graduate a lot and thus expectations go back down.

2. Tennessee Tech, Pitt, Louisiana-Monroe, Northwestern, Indiana, Michigan, MSU

We sold a ton of tix this year because of expectations and a killer home slate. Next year like I said expectations will be lower because of the losses on O (Stanzi and DJK in particular) and losing half the D. Also that schedule at home isn't really the most exciting. Michigan and MSU will be a big draw but the others are so-so. Also, since the Big 10 has it's unofficial "no night game in November" rules we may not have a night game next season since Michigan and MSU are in November. We won't have a night game for T-Tech and L-M so that leaves Pitt, Northwestern and Indiana as the other choices. None of them seem good enough to garner a night game at Kinnick.

well, we graduated a lot lost year and expectations went way up. so, by that logic, we'll be beating the Carolina Panthers next year.

Difference is we graduated (and lost due to leaving early) players in the not so sexy positions like OL and linebackers. Plus, excluding Angerer, the main faces of the team like Stanzi, DJK, and Clayborn were going into their senior season so that is why the expectations went up. After this year we lose those faces, and we get a guy under center who, even though we have seen him perform admirably, will be getting the keys to the car as the primary driver not just borrowing it for a while. New QBs almost always temper expectations, unless it's replacing Jake Christiansen.

The scalpers who "won the lottery" and received season tickets will not be renewing next year. 4 tickets = a minimum of $1400 investment. Our home schedule next year will not be worth it for scalpers. You won't be seeing tickets bring more than face value for 3 of the 7 games. So to profit on 4 of the games is not worth it to someone who can spend the $1400 elsewhere.
