DO NOT POST PICS OF YOUR SEASON TICKETS IF YOU GET THEM AND WANT TO SHOW THEM OFF!!!

That bar code number at the top of the ticket is basically the key to scam your tickets away from you. Posting a pic with that number showing is damn near a free giveaway to those that know how to do it.

No the tix cannot be scammed away from you. You have a reciept with your seat number. If you cannot get in then all you have to do is go to the tix office and present your ID and Tix. Then the cops march to your assigned seat and arrest to idiot who thought they could get away with it. Also After the first attempt the entire lot of tix are re issued with a different bar code and the crooks (if they are stupid enough) will get arrested at the gate for using a cancelled batch if they try to go to another game. (due to theft tix). It is nearly impossible to circumvent the problem. Fake (counterfeit) tix only burn the poor fool who buys them. Which is why we all should just buy season tix and avoid the whole scalping thing. Or use Stub hub or friends. If you Scalp then demand that the scalper walk to the gate with you and be present when your tix is scanned. If they refuse..well then I guess they didn't want to sell the tix that bad.

First off, yes they can. Two fake stubhub accounts. One a seller, one a buyer. Log on, sell the ticket with the barcode number. This allows the ticket to be printed off without having the original ticket. Sell it for a low price, like a dollar. Log out. Log on as the buyer. Buy ticket using fake email and a preloaded VISA. Print it off. You now have an exact duplicate of the ticket. As long as the original ticket holder has no clue this happened they will never know. The university doesn't notify you if you are selling a ticket 3rd party. Game day, get in line early, get scanned, walk in. At that point, you're in the door. You will never be caught unless you show up at the intended seat. Original ticket holder shows up, gets denied because barcode already used. Sure, I suppose there are hoops one could jump through to get in, but it will be a pain.

so where do you sit when you do this norwalk? the 2 star guys in the student section are like soup nazi's. i even tried to go in there with a 5ish year old son back in the christiansen days when the place was half empty (indiana game), and we got asked to leave even then.

Thanks for the directions. Now post a picture of your tickets and lets see if this does work. :D

You can try sneaking into student section. Otherwise just go stand in a tunnel exit. My mom has a slight walking disability so sometimes she will just stand up top and watch, I've been with her doing so a few times. Nobody has ever approached us to see our tickets or tell us to move along. I've never once been asked to see my ticket once we are in the gate. So if somebody got in this way, I doubt they would ever get caught like I said unless they decided to show up at the seat the scammed. Then they are just asking for it.

Also, when you sell your tickets on Stubhub, the original barcode is no longer active.
The buyer on stubhub receives a different barcode for that seat.

Very very easy to steal someones ticket with just the barcode. As mentioned above, use fake accounts and don't sit in the original seat. Nobody will catch you.
There are plenty of good standing spots at Kinnick.

All's I know is that if I had posted my tickets on the Web. I wouldn't tail gate. I would be the first guy in line when the gates open, probably consider camping out the night before, just to be sure.;)

Not an ordeal 1/2 hour at best. New barcodes are assigned for the entire season batch so only a headache for the first game. After the new set of tix is issued the originals are flagged. So when attempted to use at subsequent games officer o'malley gets a nod and the questioning begins. Quit being such a crepe hangar

Now that the cops know a fake set of tix have been photo posted for barcode stealing. They will be waiting for you.

his intent was to post a 'tip of the day', and based on his instructions on how easy it might be, i'd suggest the man should be given a beer, not a lecture.

i wouldn't have had the first clue that people did that.

Yes but your Id and original tix will still get you into the game.
