Their QB is light years from where he was last year. Thier defense is light years away from where they were last year. Rich Rod is going to go from being on the hot seat to competing for the B10 title this year. That week just got scary.

I don't expect the turnaround that you predict but I think next year they may be the team to beat.

Uh dude quit with the negitive vibes, our d will not let him run around like he did against uconn, yeah 30-10 is a good beat down but mich will not score more than 17 points on our d and I think our O will score atleast 31 points calm down people.

CNNSI.com had a nice article about the history of week 1 trends in college football. It says don't be so quick to jump on the bandwagon....

Slight overreaction here

Not sold on anything after one game.

QB is going to get hit 30+ times a game. We'll see how effective he is during week #8 for example.

scUM's defense is still suspect.

Too early to tell.

Yeah the UM win was more then I expected. I thought it was a toss up for them. This being said it was one game and I am not sold on them yet.

Michigan's secondary is terrible. If they play a team who has WRs that can actually catch the ball, they are going to get torn apart. They looked good early on last year too, remember the Forcier for Heisman hype?

Agree. That offense isn't going to work in the Big 10 week in and week out. Either that or he'll have to have 2 or 3 equally strong QBs at the ready, because those guys are going to get banged up big-time running that much.

Michigan is now national title contenders. Michigan has the best coach in america, best QB in america and now their defense is now the best in the NCAA.

I get a kick out of what I've been reading. Thursday Night- ISU game just got toughier. Friday Night- Arizona post. Now today a Michigan post claiming there back.. lol..

All these teams should have won said game.

Since Michigan is the post of this day. I will predict if Michigan trys to run this same offense they did Saturday, 1. Iowa will destroy them and 2. D. Robinson will be taking off the field in a stretcher.

i for one really think they've turned it around now that d-rod has his players. doesn't mean they'll be able to beat OSU, PSU and Iowa, but should be able to beat most of the other teams in conference. i'm sure they're thankful that they have three QBs, because i don't see them being able to do that all year without some injuries.

Wow I bet RRod wishes the OP was the Michigan AD. Robinson looked much improved, which is what we've heard since spring practice ended. That said.....the UM defense still has a poor secondary and take bad angles. UConn couldn't exploit it buy other teams on their schedule will, starting with ND this weekend. UM may win a game or two they shouldn't but 9-3, 8-4 is still their ceiling. RRod still will be canned at the end of the year, the new AD will go after a "Michigan man", Harbaugh or Miles....

Michigan is always a tough game and the big house is still the big house. However, we have an opportunity to live up to lofty expectations this year. It will be great to see how we do on the road when we are favored and not underdogs. bring them on.

I always thought that Forcier was not the style of QB that would be good in the Big Ten. When has a little self promoting west coaster ever do well in the B10? Having said that... I hated the idea of knocking him out and having D. Robinson come in like last year as he is better. Now... we have D. Robinson to take out and we get a rusty Forcier coming in! Robinson running to the corner won't happen often until he gets Sashified and Stretcher Slabbed.

I must admit, they do look a lot better than last year. We only beat them by 2 points at Kinnick last year, so I know we are in for a battle at the big house. We sometimes struggle against running qb's(S.Wallace, Randle El, Pryor, etc.) I must say I am more nervous for the Michigan week now after seeing the monster day from their QB.

I still think we get the W 24-20 and finish 11-1. Go hawks!

I really doubt Forcier will even be on the team when we play him. That true freshman is already ahead of him on their depth chart, and came in when Denard got knocked out in the UConn game.

9-3 (5-3) will be competing for the B10 title. Espcially considering they would be 5-2 coming into the reg season finale agaisnt fOSU and I don't see fOSU being undefeated at that point.

29 carries for 196 yards on the ground...
19-22 for 180 something through the air...

A good QB can absolutely carry a college football team, and he looks to be very very good QB.
