scUM is back

This **** really get to me. Because its Michigan they win 2 games and "THEYRE BACK!!!" Iowa comes off a BCS bowl win and can't get an ounce of respect from anybody.

Those that were waiting for scUM to beat ND before they start taking them seriously can begin to take them seriously.

Those that thought we should wait a bit before sayind Robinson is a very good college quarter back can beging to say he's a very good quarter back. I mean all he did was set a scUM record by compiling 502 yard of offense....

People are already comparing him to Antione Randal El and I don't think that's fair... to Randal El. An 87 yard TD run... are you freaking kidding me????

He's the scariest player in the B10 (I'm looking at you Terrel Pryor), he'll he's probably the scariest offensive player in all of college football right now.

Season Stats:
43-62 (69.4%) 430yds 2td 0int
57car 455yds (long of 87) 3td.

He's averaging nearly 450 yards of total offense per game.

Who did they play? Let's try to put some of this into perspective. Yes, Robinson has improved this year and they will be tougher. I'm not ready to say he is the best player in the Big 10 and possibly the country after 2 games against UConn and ND.

You're putting waaaaay to much stock into the first 2 games of this year. Waaaaay to much.

I will give credit where credit is due. D Robinson has had 2 awesome games. Anyway you split it, those are massive numbers in D1 football.

However, Michigan is a one trick pony at this point. And typically teams that have the "golden boy" don't win throughout the season. I'll be surprised if they continue to win and I still feel good about our chances against them.

Michigan's D gave up over 500 yards to a team that was led by a first year starting QB ... under a new head coach, no less.

Furthermore, we're talking about the same Notre Dame team that couldn't put away a pretty mediocre Purdue squad.

I DO like the talent and overall firepower of Michigan's O ... however, I'm not certain that they'll fare all that well against ANY team that features a good, disciplined run D ... and that is also pretty good on O.

ISU and Michigans offensive systems are not even close to the same.

Who ever figured out Rich Rods system when he was at WVU? Iowa won't be able to stop Michigan if Denard is healthy.

Be honest, though. Who did they play when he was at WVU? The Big East has been the worst conference in the BCS since Miami, VT, and Boston College joined the ACC. They beat Georgia, OU, Georgia Tech, and UNC in their bowl games. The lowest point total allowed in those games was 28 (against OU). Rich Rod's defenses have never been very good.

Iowa will certainly play more of a contain with the DE's. But Robinson won't light up good defenses the way he is right now against teams who don't play good defense.

A couple things stand out.
1. His TD pass where he took a couple suick steps towards the LOS and threw a dart to a wide open wr was scarry to watch. More scary to me than his 87 yd run. Defenses will have to be very diciplined and pretty athletic to contain him. I think Iowa will be able to keep him under control.
2. When you have a star like D Robinson, you run with him, however UM seems to be putting all of thier eggs in his basket. I wonder how they will respond if he gets hurt or gets shut down. They will be a completely different team. That can be good and bad.

What was Michigan's record to start the season last year, 4-0? And we saw how that turned out. I will believe Michigan is back when they do this weekly in the Big 10 and don't finish with a 1-7 record in the conference.

and Forcier was being penciled in as the Heisman trophy front runner. Although I think Robinson is much better than Forcier, lets not get too far ahead of ourselves.
