Why do you hate him? Because of all the attention given to him on ESPN? Because of his play? I'm indifferent but I really cant understand people who hate him just to hate him, at least have a legit reason.

I think Tebow has been given a pass because of his "story". I don't feel like he's earned most of what he has. I also feel like he is being forced on us, and that is teh suxorz.

Because he is a ****** QB and doesn't deserve to be in the NFL.

Ya I don't think he should be a QB in the NFL but as an athlete I think he does deserve a place in the NFL it's not his fault these teams refuse to move him to a position he can succeed at.

So you hate him because NFL execs continue to sign and pay him? Not his fault. I don't deserve to be in the NFL either, but if a team ponies up the dough I'm taking it too.

So you like Tebow because he's a grifter?

So innocent virginal Timmy was just derping around, minding his own business, thinking goddy thoughts, when suddenly some NFL GMs barged in and forced him to take money to be on their teams?
Timmy and his family aren't tireless self-promoters and savvy marketers of their product? No greed and ambition involved whatsoever?
Hokay, thanks for setting me straight.

You think a lot of NFL players were forced to sign their contracts and accept those signing bonuses? OK, Scorp. Many players cash the checks and never see the field (as in nearly every backup QB in the league). And none of them were forced either. The NFL folks keep paying him, he'd be stupid to walk away. And if the NFL decision makers are willing to keep forking over the cash, that's on them.

My point is that he is not an NFL level talent, but rather a marketing novelty. But he represents himself as a legit NFL player in order to get paid. And at the same time, he and his family work overtime attempting to convince us that he is Super Ultra Pure Goddy Boy.
He's a grifter.

I want to chime in about Tebow with a little math...ok no math. Sadly this is one of the most interesting topics on a Hawkey message board. As a QB Teebs is junk but won games and beat teams I hated and it was helarious then he beat the Bears and I had enough. As a human with a lot of money and the freedom to do what he wants and as a human in a profession where good deeds do not go unnoticed it must be really nice to have the money and time to do those things he could be out buying $49,000 golf clubs and teeing off on prairie dogs while smoking blunts with both weed and crack cocaine while forcing Rosy O'Donnel to dance nude in a cage of lions.

You put the responsiblity on him. I put the responsibility on any GM making decisions about his players based on anything other than their play on the field.
