Schwartz Sunday Notes: Diaco’s ‘Rehab,’ Football Returns & Live Sports

Biggest question mark that needs to be answered this spring. Who is going to be the team leader on the defensive side now that the "Outlaw" is gone?

I'm worried about all those concerns listed above, but, honestly, unless we plan on going for it on every 4th down, we need a freakin punter!! Going back to last season, did we have a single punt of over 45+ yards? Did we ever land a punt inside our opponent's 10-yard line? Aside from one pass against Ohio $tate, every time our punter got the ball in his hands, disappointment would follow.

So Diacco is going to rehab his image by coaching what they call "defense" in the Big 12? Scouts are asking the quarterbacks from that conference what it was like to play against "statues in the secondary". Corners line up ten yards off the ball and still get beat on slant routes in those games.

Not only does it look like Diacco needs to "rehab" his coaching mojo, he could also be a little more circumspect about his general demeanor, and especially what kinds of things he says in front of the press.
