Maishe Dailey learned a lot during the last year on and off the court. He talked with HN about growth in his game and from summer interaction with the Cleveland Police:

Good read. I'm looking forward to see if it translates on the court. I like Maishe and hope it does.

GO HAWKS!!!

Thanks for reading. Dailey is an intriguing piece to this year's puzzle, IMO. Minutes are there to be had in the backcourt and he could grab some of them.

There are mins to be fought over. But it'd take Ellingson to not play well for him to get any significant ones wouldn't it? If Moss plays 20 plus and Ellingson 15ish with Williams and even Baer occasionally getting some depending on the lineup on the floor that wouldn't leave very many. With the plethora of bigs this team has I don't see them playing 3 guards as much if they play to their strength.

I don't see many minutes available on a regular basis.

JBo will play 30 at the 1
Williams 10 (potential to play 5 -10 minutes over at the 2 if he's better than Dailey.

Moss and Ellingson spit the time at the 2 20/20.

The 3 spot is where I think Baer is going to have to play most his minutes. 25

Perhaps this is the answer... maybe there will be minutes available at the 3 spot but our front court is so loaded I think Nunge may be a guy that's really a stretch 4 but is good enough to see the floor and will have to play out of position initially.

I wouldn't get hung up on numbering positions. If we've learned anything from Fran, it's that he doesn't number his players and has said as much. It's why he recruits guys that can play multiple spots.

I wouldn't assume that Williams and Ellingson will play ahead of Dailey, who could get minutes at what traditionally we would call the point guard, two guard and small forward.

Fair enough but I'll be shocked if Dailey plays ahead of Ellingson.

Still not sure what happened based on the info in the article, but I can imagine. And it sounds like he didn't let the coach know about it before he tweeted. Probably not the best way to handle it.

I could see Dailey getting first half and early second half minutes, similar to Moss last year, though moss started. However, Fran does love him some Brady Ellingson in late game situations.

When I was in high school and driving around with a friend we were pulled over by 3 cop cars and the cops got overly dramatic. They had a report on a car that looked like mine.

Anyway, they realized they screwed up and to cover their tracks they wrote me a ticket for an illegal lane change (not using my blinker) which they caused with their aggressive policing.

Now I could've harbored resentment toward the cops, but I finally realized that cops make mistakes . . . and yes there are bad cops . . . but this crap that kids are taught to think of law enforcement as the enemy is a sign of bad parenting across the nation.

So, you had a bunch of armed men and/or women harrass you and then write you a note demanding payment or else because they realized they did something really bad? Sounds like those thugs had some bad parenting.

We've had this argument before, but if you were black and in an inner city.....

My dad and brother were/are in law enforcement. I got to know a lot of officers. People should be scared. My dad was a bad cop. He chased 2 people into accidents for speeding/reckless driving, punched a guy out who lipped off to him, shot at a guy driving away from a non-weapon burglary and risked my life and others driving like a maniac chasing down a teenager for speeding, going 80 plus down Iowa gravel roads and skidding through an intersection.

My brother is an officer with an attitude. He became an officer back when he liked to drive fast. He outran an Iowa State Trooper on Friday and got ticked when the guy was waiting for him on Saturday and ticketed him. It was a 73 Firebird with a 400 small block btw.

Of the 12 local officers in my village, at least three of them shouldn't be wearing a badge as they have serious emotional issues with control, including the Chief. The mayor jokes and says he's only allowed one bullet.

About the Australian lady in MSP?

When you want a job where you have to punish people for doing the exact same things you do, I question your motives. Sure you will have the occasional bust where someone was doing something really bad, but the majority of the time you will be punishing people for going 10 over or driving without a seat belt. Every cop I've known is a serious hypocrite, and they sign up for the job excited to be one.

Wow, all the stereotypes about cops here. Might just throw them in the same pile with the stereotypes about African-Americans.
