I saw an episode of Pawn Stars in which they bought 2 pairs of "gold pants" off a guy for 2 grand each. They were for relatively obscure players (based solely on me not recognizing the names). I wonder how much Pryor got for his? I also wonder how many of them have been sold by atheletes while in school over the years? I'm imagining it's occured frequently.
After watching it I also understand how OSU gets away with giving them to players. They are about the side of a finger nail and they are gold plated, which gives them an actual value of about $5. They are on par with a basic track medal or a captains pin or patch for a letter jacket.
