Yep. Tanya Johnson. Total c***.Thanks for the info. My bud and I took a trip to W. Okoboji ice fishing several years ago. I thinks we probably ended up going towards mid winter which wasn't worth a shit. Tough going. Boji is tricky as is so clear and can spook them. We fished in Emerson's I believe. It was during a snow storm and there was a lot of snow on the ice.
Yea, I got a story about Kabele's to. Not impressed and I also though the woman was a total beeeootch. I booked rooms there for my family and my parents. It's a smaller 4 or 8 plex with stairs going up to the upper rentals. Very nice rentals I'll have to say but ya got to put up with the owners. Anyway, I booked lower rooms as we had a couple in are party that couldn't navigate steps. They booked our lower rooms for multiple days. We had a night and day left in our vacation and rental time. The lady notified us that we had to leave as she had others coming in. We had to cut off our vacation short (Our boys were like 8-9 yrs old at the time). We explained we had the rentals until the next day but she would not have any part of that or even discount the room for the time we would not have it. Left that property and never stepped on it again.
Thanks for the recommendation for Stan's. Yea, been to Shucks when we went.
Looks like snow for Saturday Hope it doesn't hold the crowd down!
Too bad we are not playing in the dome
You expecting modern equipment and technology inside Kinnick on Sat?All depends on the wind/visibility.
1-3" can cause a heck of a problem if the wind is whipping over 30 mph.
Street and highway crews today do a much better job than they did decades ago with modern equipment and technology. Its the less traveled roads that can get dicey.
I was at that game. You forgot the part where the Iowa student section almost cost the team a penalty because they were pelting the cheerleaders with snowballs and getting just a bit close to the refs ...I remember the Purdue game in what, 2015? Snowed 8 inches the night before. I had 50 yard line seats 20 rows up with my then 9 year old son. They cleared the field well, but the seats were a mess. Giant guy came in late and was right in front of my son. He turned and looked at him and said, "hell no, we are switching. He picked up my son (who was not a small 9 year old) and set him in his seat and he moved back next to me. All without asking! He then took out a Fifth of Jack, set it on the snow pile on the seat and announced it was for everyone. And everyone partook. LOL. God I miss Kinnick!!!!
It's going to be wet no matter if it snows or rains. That will affect the field. From looking online, it looks like it's possible that the rain/snow subsides by the afternoon. I hope it doesn't have a big effect on the footing and being able to cut.Roughly 25 hours before kickoff the radar show that snow/rain boundary more north than expected so they have called off the PM snows for Des Moines and Iowa City wont get much accumulation.
There is a lingering glob of wrap around follow up snow out in CO rigtht now that could be what hits Iowa City tomorrow.
I would be much more worried about the wind making it very hard to pass the ball and making us mainly have to run with wisky knowing that, but same goes on the other side with Wisky,
I was at that game. Epic! I remember driving to IC from Madison that morning...so many cars off the road. Considered turning around. Glad I didn't. Kittle!I remember the Purdue game in what, 2015? Yep. Tanya Johnson. Total c***.
She married into it, Thane was a pretty decent dude from Sioux City...she was a stray cat looking for a sugar daddy that he thought was worth getting his noodle wet for. Even before they got married she walked around that place like she was queen shit of turd mountain and really turned everyone off to the place. The only people who go in there anymore are the 75 year olds and the fat younger neck beards who want to go stare at her. I've personally never been into the whole emaciated, starvation look in women, but hey...who am I to judge...
She's just a total bitch who thinks she's Jennifer Anniston, but it's really more Sissy Spacek after having Dengue fever and not eating for 6 months. And I don't mean that as an insult to Sissy Spacek.
One quick story about her...
Anyone who does a lot of fishing knows that when you go to a bait shop and get a dozen minnows, it means a "scoop" of minnows. So in reality you get like 20-25 of 'em. It's just an unwritten assumption no matter where you go. I was in there a long time ago and they had an old timer working the counter early in the morning (probably unpaid just to occupy his time). Buddy of mine said he wanted a couple dozen minnows so old timer went and got him a two scoops and even put them in his bait bucket for him. Tanya sees it, then walks over to the counter and chews this guys ass up, down, and all around about how "a dozen is TWELVE!" Bitched out this elderly guy like a fuckin child who just spilled KoolAid on the carpet...totally disrespectful...
Made him walk back to the tank and dump them out and actually count out exactly 24 minnows lol. We went back there and gave the old man 5 bucks and walked out with no minnows. If that were the only place within 50 miles I still wouldn't walk in that store.
Sent it over to southwest Wisconsin. Just got done dealng with six or seven inches.Took the accumulation out of the forecast now
We were supposed to get a half inch or so in NW Iowa but nothing ever fellSent it over to southwest Wisconsin. Just got done dealng with six or seven inches.
Looks like normal temps between now and Christmas however, no subzero arctic blasts.
